When you create a Facebook post with a link to one of the pages on your website, Facebook will automatically use the first image displayed on your website as the preview thumbnail with your post by using the Open Graph protocol. The Open Graph protocol also applies to other social networks, like Twitter.
This means that to change the image shown when you share a page on Facebook (or any other social medium), you will need to change the first image on the page in your builder.
After updating the first image on a webpage, we recommend running the page URL through the Facebook Debugger to make sure that Facebook/Meta has the most up-to-date content in their system and is not displaying an older image instead of your new content.
Important Note: Zibster is not affiliated with Meta or Facebook. Our Web Consultants can help with uploading files and advising where to place them for your Facebook shares. Specific questions about advertising, Facebook Pixel tracking & conversions, and other functions of Meta Business will need to be answered by Meta Business Help section located within your Meta Business Suite account.
