Having social media is an important part of running a business in today's competitive market. The ability to have social media icons on your website is just as important. By adding these icons to your website you allow your clients easy access to always stay connected.
STEP 1: ACCESS YOUR SOCIAL MEDIA ICONS
You can set up social media icons using these instructions in your SITE BUILDER. From the WEB PAGES area of your control panel click on the SOCIAL ICONS section.
STEP 2: CREATE AN ICON FOR EACH OF YOUR SOCIAL MEDIA ACCOUNTS
This will bring you into your Social Icon creator. From here you can add icons, and change the way your icons look. Get started by clicking on NEW ICON. You can now choose which icon you want to use (Facebook, Pinterest, Instagram, etc ... ), or you can upload your own custom icon if you have one.
Note: The maximum size for a custom icon is 24x24 pixels.
In the URL box, enter the direct link to your social media account page. To find this link, navigate to your social media page, then copy the URL that appears in the address bar in your Internet browser. See an example below with the Zibster Facebook page's URL (https://www.facebook.com/getzibster):
Next, select a TARGET, either OPEN IN A NEW WINDOW or OPEN IN THE SAME WINDOW. We recommend using OPEN IN A NEW WINDOW so that your viewers won't be completely removed from your website when they access a social media link.
Lastly, enter a TOOL TIP. This is a small banner that will appear under your mouse when you hover over a social media icon.
An example of a Tool Tip is "Like us on Facebook!"
After you've entered this information, click on UPDATE ICON to save your changes.
STEP 3: ADJUST YOUR SOCIAL MEDIA ICON SETTINGS
Now that you have your icons setup you can adjust how they look in the settings by clicking the SETTINGS tab.
Under ICON STYLE, you can choose between two sizes of STANDARD icons or DESIGNER icons.
The Designer icons are automatically styled to match the style of your selected template.
Under ICON COLOR SETTINGS, you can choose either GRAYSCALE icons or ORIGINAL ICON COLORS.
After you've made your selections, click on SAVE CHANGES.
