The footer on your website has many different components with opportunities to customize them. You cannot only choose a layout for your footer and add text, you can also include HTML code to the footer as well.
To get started, click on the BUILDER icon at the top of the control panel.
From there, click on the WEB PAGES tab. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on the FOOTER button toward the bottom left side of the page.
On the Footer page, you'll see all your options to customize the footer: LAYOUT, PAGE TITLE, and HTML . We will walk through each of them below:
FOOTER LAYOUT
Your first opportunity to update your footer is to change your footer layout. To see all your footer layout options, click on the CHANGE button under "Current Layout".
After you click on CHANGE, you'll see all your layout options, which control the order of your social icons, text, and footer pages.
Choose your desired layout then click on SAVE CHANGES.
FOOTER PAGE TITLE
The area labeled PAGE TITLE allows you to enter the text you'd like to appear in your footer. Typically, this is where your copyright information is entered.
Enter your desired text in the text box provided.
FOOTER HTML CONTENT
The last section is for your footer's HTML CONTENT. This is where you can enter custom HTML code if you need to do so. Some examples of custom code you may want to enter could be a social media feed, a map for directions, or a video. It could also be custom coded footer text with your contact information.
Below the HTML content box, you'll need to enter the WIDTH (fit to window is recommended) and the HEIGHT, according to how tall your HTML code is in pixels.
Note: You only need to enter a width and height if you are using custom HTML code.
After all your footer's information has been updated, make sure to click on SAVE CHANGES.
