How To Tell If I'm Using Original Files

Understanding the Original Files Add-On in Zibster

The Original Files add-on is an optional upgrade in your Zibster account that allows you to upload and store files up to 50MB each. This tool is especially helpful for users who work with large, high-resolution files and need access to the original version for downloading, sharing, or backup purposes.

Below is an overview of how the Original Files add-on works and how to confirm whether your account is using it.

STEP ONE

Understand What The Original Files Add-on Does

When the Original Files add-on is active, Zibster stores the full-resolution version of every image you upload (as long as the file is under 50MB). This allows you to keep the original file in your account for reference or download.

If the add-on is not active when you upload an image, Zibster will only store the optimized web-size version used for your website.

STEP TWO

Confirm Whether an Image has an Original File Version

After uploading images with the add-on enabled, your Zibster control panel will show an indicator on any image that includes an original file.

Look for the following:

  • An “OR” flag at the top-right corner of the image thumbnail

This means the original resolution file is stored and available.

Images uploaded before activating the add-on will not display the OR flag.

STEP THREE

Identify Original Files in your Files section.

The Files section of your account allows you to upload Documents, Video, and Music files to your account. If you upload content—such as videos or other file types—into this section, Zibster will show the file size next to each upload.

Any file larger than 4MB is considered an Original File for documents and video.

Documents Original File Size

This file is 6.5mb, which is larger than the standard 4mb file size.

Video Original File Size

These videos are 19.7mb and 7.5mb, which is larger than the standard 4mb size.

STEP FOUR

Check whether the Original Files add-on is active

To confirm whether the add-on is enabled:

  1. Log into your Zibster account.

  2. Go to MY ACCOUNT in the left-side menu.

  3. Look for the Original Files add-on in your subscription list.

You will see the add-on listed at:

  • $10 monthly, or
  • $120 annually

FINAL STEP

Understand what happens if you cancel the add-on

If you cancel the Original Files add-on:

  • All stored original file versions will be permanently deleted
  • These files cannot be recovered, even if you re-enable the add-on
  • Web-optimized versions of your images will remain available in your account

To ensure continued access to full-resolution files, keep the add-on active on your subscription.
