How to Add a Navigation Link to a Specific Block on Your Website Page
Overview
You can add a navigation item that opens a website page and takes visitors directly to a specific content block. This is called an anchor link and can help visitors quickly reach pricing, contact forms, frequently asked questions, Mood Boards, or other important sections.
The link can appear as a top-level navigation item or inside a drop-down menu. This guide explains how to select a page and block as the destination for a Zibster navigation link.
STEP ONE
Log in to your Zibster account and click WEBSITE in the left-side menu. The Website Builder will open automatically.
STEP TWO
Click NEW PAGE, and then click LINK.
This creates a navigation link instead of a new website page.
STEP THREE
Enter the name you want visitors to see in the NAVIGATION NAME field.
Under PAGE VISIBILITY, select VISIBLE so the link appears in your website navigation.
Under LINK TO, select PAGE. The CHOOSE A PAGE menu will appear.
STEP FOUR
Click CHOOSE A PAGE and select the website page containing the block you want visitors to reach. After you select the page, the CHOOSE A BLOCK menu will appear.
Click CHOOSE A BLOCK and select the appropriate block. Blocks are listed in the same top-to-bottom order they appear on the selected page.
Blocks that have not been renamed display only their block type. Renamed blocks display the block type followed by the custom block name in parentheses. For example, a renamed Title Block may appear as Title (FAQ Section Title).
Select TOP OF THE PAGE if you want the link to open the beginning of the selected page instead of moving to a specific block.
FINAL STEP
Click SAVE CHANGES to add the link to your website navigation.
Click VIEW SITE and test the navigation link. The selected page should open and move directly to the block you chose.
How Blocks Appear in the Menu
The CHOOSE A BLOCK menu helps you identify the destination using its location, block type, and custom name:
- Blocks are listed in the same top-to-bottom order they appear on the selected page.
- An unnamed block displays only its block type, such as Divider, Title, or Text+Image.
- A renamed block displays its custom name in parentheses after the block type.
- TOP OF THE PAGE appears first and links to the beginning of the selected page.
If the page contains several blocks of the same type, consider renaming them before creating the link. Descriptive block names make it easier to select the correct destination.

Creating Anchor Links in Other Areas
The PAGE option works the same way anywhere you see the standard Zibster link selector. You can use it to create anchor links from buttons, text, images, list items, and other website elements that support links.
When creating the link:
- Select PAGE under LINK TO.
- Select the destination page under CHOOSE A PAGE.
- Select the specific block under CHOOSE A BLOCK.
You can link to a block on the current page or a different page of your Zibster website.
Helpful Notes About Navigation Links
- Anchor links are especially useful on long pages and one-page website designs.
- You can place the navigation link at the top level of your navigation or move it into a drop-down menu.
- You can edit the link later to select a different page or block.
- If you delete the destination block, the link will still open the selected page, but it will no longer move visitors to a specific section.
- If several unnamed blocks have the same type, use their order on the page to identify the correct block.
- Test the link through VIEW SITE after creating it or changing its destination.
