How to Recover Permanently Deleted Emails (Zibster Mailbox)
The Zibster Mailbox service provides branded email for your business, allowing you to create a professional email address @yourdomain.
If you’ve permanently deleted emails from your Trash folder, you can still recover them within 14 days. Follow the steps below to restore deleted messages in your Zibster Mailbox.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Zibster Mailbox is powered by Rackspace. Rackspace automatically deletes messages after 14 days. Once this period has passed, the messages are permanently deleted and cannot be recovered.
STEP ONE
Log into your Mailbox via webmail at https://mailbox.zibster.com.
STEP TWO
Check that the missing messages aren’t still in your Trash or another folder (such as Archive, Junk, or any custom folders).
STEP THREE
Right-click the Trash folder and select Recover Deleted Email.
STEP FOUR
In the recovery window, select the emails you want to restore.
STEP FIVE
Click Recover to Folder and choose the folder where you want the recovered messages to be saved.
FINAL STEP
Wait for the confirmation message “Message(s) Recovered,” then close the recovery tool.
Open the destination folder to verify that your emails have been successfully restored.
Notes, Limits, and Troubleshooting
- Recovery Window: Only emails deleted within the last 14 days (after leaving Trash) can be recovered. After 14 days, recovery is not possible.
- Use Webmail: The Recover Deleted Email tool is available only in webmail. If you use a desktop or mobile email app (like Outlook or Apple Mail), log in to webmail to recover messages.
- Can’t See the Option? Make sure you’re right-clicking the Trash folder in the left sidebar. If the option isn’t there, the emails may be past the 14-day recovery window or there are no permanently deleted items available.
- Search Tip: After recovery, use the webmail search bar (by sender, subject, or date) if you don’t immediately see the message in the selected folder.
