How to Add and Customize a Title Block in Zibster
Overview
Title Blocks let you add prominent headings to pages in the Zibster Website Builder. You can use a Title Block to create the main heading of a page, highlight your services, or introduce important content.
Zibster includes a Blank Title Block and nine predesigned Title Block options that you can customize with your own text, fonts, colors, spacing, and backgrounds.
This guide explains how to add a Title Block, customize its appearance, manage existing blocks, and use headings effectively for your website's structure and SEO.
SEO Tip: Title Blocks and H1 Headings
Each Zibster Title Block automatically uses an H1 heading tag. For a clear page structure and SEO best practices, we recommend using one primary H1 heading per page.
For additional section headings, use a Text Editor Block with H2 or H3 heading styles.
STEP ONE
Open the Zibster Website Builder
Log in to your Zibster account and click WEBSITE in the left-side menu.
This opens the Website Builder, where you can select the page you want to edit and add a Title Block.
STEP TWO
Select Your Page and Add a Title Block
In the Zibster Website Builder, click the page you want to edit from the page list on the left.
Once the page opens, locate the available blocks on the right side of the Website Builder and click TITLE to add a Title Block to your page.
STEP THREE
Choose Your Title Block Design
The SELECT TITLE BLOCK panel opens on the right side of the Website Builder.
You can choose between a Blank Title Block or one of the nine predesigned options, Title 1 through Title 9.
The Blank option uses your website's global design settings. The predesigned options provide different styles that you can customize after adding the block.
Scroll through the available designs, then click SELECT beneath the Title Block you want to add to your page.
FINAL STEP
Enter Your Title and Save Changes
After selecting your Title Block design, the EDIT TITLE panel opens on the right side of the Website Builder.
In the TITLE field, enter the heading you want visitors to see on your website. If you selected a predesigned Title Block, replace the sample text with your own heading.
Click SAVE CHANGES to apply your title.
Your Title Block will now display on the page using your selected design and heading text. Zibster automatically uses an H1 heading tag for Title Block text.
Customize Your Title Block
You can customize an existing Title Block without affecting other blocks on your website.
To access its settings, click directly on the Title Block or click the pencil icon in the upper-right corner and select ADVANCED.
The EDIT TITLE panel includes five sections: Title, Styling, Colors, Background, and Fonts.
Changes made within an individual Title Block can override your website's global design settings. When a setting differs from the global design, you may see a CUSTOMIZED label. Where a reset control is available, click the X beside the customized setting to return that option to your global design.
Title
The TITLE tab controls the heading text visitors see on your website.
Enter or update your heading in the TITLE field, then click SAVE CHANGES.
Changing the title text does not change the internal block name used to identify the block in the Website Builder.
Styling
The STYLING tab lets you adjust the alignment and spacing of your Title Block without changing the rest of your website.
You can customize three settings:

TITLE ALIGNMENT: Controls how your heading is aligned within the Title Block.

SPACE BELOW BLOCKS: Adjusts the spacing between your Title Block and the next block on the page.

SPACE INSIDE BLOCKS: Adjusts the spacing within the Title Block, between the heading and the block's edges.
Both spacing settings include None, Ultra Thin, Thin, Medium, and Thick options.
After making your adjustments, click SAVE CHANGES to apply your styling.
Colors
The COLORS tab lets you customize an individual Title Block's colors independently from your website's global design settings.
You can adjust:

Title Color: Changes the color of your heading text.

Background Color: Changes the solid background color behind your title.
Click a color swatch to use the color picker or enter a specific HEX color code to match your branding.
If a color has been customized, a CUSTOMIZED label appears beside the setting. Click the X within that label to remove the individual override and return to your global color setting.
Click SAVE CHANGES to apply your updates.
Background
The BACKGROUND tab lets you customize your Title Block background using your own image or a predesigned image from Zibster's Background Image Library.
Click BACKGROUND in the EDIT TITLE panel and choose from the BACKGROUND TYPE dropdown menu:

No background: Displays the Title Block without a background image. You can still use a solid background color configured under the Colors tab.

Custom Background Image: Upload your own JPG or PNG image.

Background Image Library: Choose a predesigned background from Zibster's collection.
Depending on your selection, you can adjust how the background image appears within the block.
Click SAVE CHANGES at the bottom of the panel to apply your background settings.

Fonts
The FONTS tab lets you customize the typography of an individual Title Block without changing the fonts throughout your website.
Available settings include:

Font: Choose the typeface used for your title.

Font Size: Adjust how large your heading appears.

Letter Spacing: Control the spacing between characters.

Line Height: Adjust the vertical spacing between lines of text.
When a Title Block uses font settings that differ from your website's global design, a CUSTOMIZED label appears.
These settings allow you to create headings that complement your website's overall design while giving individual pages their own visual emphasis.

Managing Your Title Block
The Title Block includes a management menu that allows you to copy, move, rename, adjust advanced settings, or delete the entire block.
To access these options, click the pencil icon in the upper-right corner of your Title Block.
Available Block Management Options

COPY: Creates a duplicate of the Title Block directly below the original. You can edit the copied block independently without changing the original. Since each Title Block uses an H1 heading tag, review your page's heading structure when copying Title Blocks. MOVE: Moves your existing Title Block to another website page or repositions it at the top or bottom of the current page. Moving a block preserves its existing content and settings. For complete instructions, see How to Move a Block in the Zibster Website Builder.

RENAME: Allows you to give your Title Block a custom name for easier identification in the Website Builder. Renaming a block does not change the visible title on your website. You can also use block names to create anchor links that direct visitors to a specific section of a website page. For complete instructions, see How to Rename Blocks and Create Anchor Links.

ADVANCED: Opens additional settings for your Title Block, including Title, Styling, Colors, Background, and Fonts.

DELETE: Opens the confirmation panel for permanently deleting the entire Title Block.
Note: Title Blocks do not support CHANGE LAYOUT. You can customize an existing Title Block's appearance, but if you want to use a different predesigned Title Block design, you'll need to add a new Title Block.
Delete a Title Block
To permanently remove a Title Block from your website, click the pencil icon in the upper-right corner of the block and click DELETE.
The DELETE BLOCK confirmation panel will open, warning you that the block and all its content will be permanently deleted and cannot be recovered.
Click YES, DELETE IT to permanently remove the block, or click CANCEL to keep it.
Important: Deleting a block cannot be undone. If you've created anchor links to the Title Block, review those links after deleting it because the original destination will no longer exist.
What Your Website Visitors See
After you save your Title Block, visitors see the heading displayed on your website page using your selected text, fonts, colors, spacing, and background.
Title Blocks automatically use an H1 heading tag in the page's HTML. This helps identify the heading's importance within your page structure.
If you rename a Title Block in the Website Builder, the internal block name does not appear as part of the visible heading. Only the text entered in the TITLE field is displayed.
Your saved changes take effect on your website automatically. You do not need to publish your Website Builder changes separately.
Best Practices for Using Title Blocks
To create a clear website structure and a consistent experience for visitors:

Use one primary H1 heading per page. Since every Title Block generates an H1 heading, we recommend using a single Title Block for your page's main heading.

Choose descriptive headings. Make it clear what visitors will find on the page.

Include relevant search terms naturally. For example, a wedding photographer might use "Greensboro Wedding Photography" as the main heading of a wedding photography page.

Use H2 and H3 headings for additional sections. A Text Editor Block can introduce sections such as Services, Testimonials, or Frequently Asked Questions without adding more H1 headings.

Keep headings easy to read. Choose fonts, colors, and backgrounds that provide good contrast, and check how longer titles display on mobile devices.

Maintain consistent branding. Use your global design settings when possible and customize individual Title Blocks when you need a different appearance.

Avoid using additional Title Blocks just to make text larger. Use the appropriate heading structure for your content.
Title Blocks do not support DuoBuild, which allows certain supported Website Builder blocks to appear side by side.
Troubleshooting / FAQs
Why does my Title Block look different from the rest of my website?
The block may be using a predesigned Title Block or customized settings that override your global website design.
Open the block's settings and look for options marked CUSTOMIZED. Where available, click the X beside a customized setting to return that option to your website's global design.
Why did sample text appear when I added my Title Block?
The predesigned Title 1 through Title 9 options include sample text.
Open the TITLE tab, replace the sample wording with your own heading, and click SAVE CHANGES.
Can I use more than one Title Block on a page?
Yes. However, every Title Block automatically uses an H1 heading tag.
For a clearer heading hierarchy, we recommend using one Title Block for your primary page heading and Text Editor Blocks with H2 or H3 heading styles for additional sections.
Can I change my Title Block design after adding it?
You can customize your existing Title Block using its STYLING, COLORS, BACKGROUND, and FONTS settings.
However, Title Blocks do not have a CHANGE LAYOUT option. To use another predesigned Title Block design, add a new Title Block and select your preferred design.
Why doesn't renaming my Title Block change the heading on my website?
The RENAME option changes the internal block name used in the Website Builder.
To change the heading your website visitors see, open the TITLE tab, update the text, and click SAVE CHANGES.
Can I link directly to a Title Block?
Yes. You can use a Title Block as an anchor link destination.
Giving the block a descriptive name makes it easier to identify when choosing a specific block as a link destination.

Does adding a Title Block improve my SEO?
Title Blocks help establish a clear heading structure by automatically using H1 tags.
A descriptive H1 heading can help search engines understand the main topic of your page, but adding a Title Block does not guarantee higher search rankings.
For best results, use a relevant heading that accurately describes your page's content and supports your overall SEO strategy.
