How to Get a Direct Link to an ECommerce Service in Zibster

Overview

Every Zibster ECommerce Service has its own dedicated page where customers can view service details and make a purchase. You can share a direct link to an individual service without requiring customers to browse through a Services Block on your website.

Direct service links are useful for email marketing campaigns, promotional landing pages, social media, custom HTML buttons, and sharing specific services with customers.

Zibster offers two ways to link directly to an ECommerce Service:

  • Direct Service URL: Create and verify your service's public URL to share in emails, social media, external websites, or custom HTML.

  • Zibster Link Picker: Link a Zibster button or another supported website element directly to an ECommerce Service without manually entering a URL.

Important: This guide covers services created in Zibster ECommerce, not appointment-based Scheduler Services. ECommerce Services allow customers to purchase a service without selecting an appointment date or time during checkout.

Option 1: Get the Direct URL for an ECommerce Service

Need an actual URL to copy and share? Use this method to create and verify the direct link to an individual Zibster ECommerce Service for emails, social media, external websites, or custom HTML.

STEP ONE

Locate Your ECommerce Service

Log in to your Zibster account and click ECOMMERCE from the left-side menu.

Hover over SELL ONLINE and click SERVICES from the drop-down menu.

Locate the ECommerce Service you want to share and identify its name.

For example, your service might be named Express Headshot Session.

If you haven't created your service yet, follow our How to Set Up a Service in Zibster ECommerce guide first.

STEP TWO

Start With Your Website URL

Start with your website's domain name followed by:

/service-page/

For example:

https://www.yourdomain.com/service-page/

Replace www.yourdomain.com with your actual website domain.

Important: The /service-page/ path (singular) is the canonical URL structure for individual Zibster ECommerce Services. Do not use /services-page/.

STEP THREE

Add Your Service Name

Add your service name to the end of the URL, replacing spaces between words with hyphens (-).

Example Service Name:

Express Headshot Session

Example Direct Service URL:

https://www.yourdomain.com/service-page/Express-Headshot-Session

This gives you a direct URL to test for your individual ECommerce Service.

Please Note: The service name provides a starting point for constructing the URL. Services with special characters, previously changed names, or different URL formatting may use a different URL slug. Always verify that your completed URL opens the correct service.

FINAL STEP

Verify Your Direct Service Link

Copy your completed service URL and paste it into a new browser tab.

Confirm that the correct ECommerce Service page opens and displays the service information.

Make sure the service is active and available for purchase.

Once you've verified the link, you can copy and share it in emails, text messages, promotional campaigns, social media posts, custom HTML, or other marketing materials.

Helpful Tip: Test your link in a private or incognito browser window to confirm that customers can access the service without logging in to your Zibster account.

Option 2: Link a Zibster Button Directly to an ECommerce Service

Adding a button to your Zibster website? Use the built-in Link Picker to connect your button directly to an ECommerce Service without manually creating or entering its URL.

STEP ONE

Open Your Website Builder

Log in to your Zibster account and click WEBSITE from the left-side menu.

Click the page containing the button or other supported element you want to link to your service.

STEP TWO

Select Your ECommerce Service

Open the settings for your button or supported element and locate LINK TO.

Click the LINK TO drop-down menu and select SERVICE from the available link destinations.

Under CHOOSE A SERVICE, select the category containing your service, then select the individual ECommerce Service you want customers to access.

Important: Select SERVICE for services sold through Zibster ECommerce. The SCHEDULER SERVICE option is for appointment-based services created in the Zibster Scheduler Dashboard.

FINAL STEP

Save and Test Your Link

Click SAVE CHANGES to apply your link.

Open your website and click the button to confirm it directs customers to the correct ECommerce Service.

Your button is now connected to the selected service without requiring you to manually enter its URL.

Your changes take effect when saved. You do not need to publish your website separately.

Please Note: The Link Picker creates a direct connection to your service but does not provide a URL for you to copy. If you need the actual URL for an email, external website, or custom HTML, use Option 1.

For more information about linking buttons, images, and other supported elements, see How to Use the Link Picker in Zibster.

What Your Clients See

When customers click a direct ECommerce Service link, they are taken to the individual service page on your Zibster website.

Depending on how you've configured the service, customers can:

  • View the service name, description, images, and pricing.

  • Review available service options or upgrades.

  • Select applicable purchase options.

  • Add the service to their cart and proceed through checkout.

How Your Service Page Is Displayed

The appearance of your individual ECommerce Service pages is controlled by the Service Detail Page Layout settings in your Zibster Website Builder.

These settings determine how your service information, images, pricing, and purchase options are arranged on the page.

The same Service Detail Page Layout applies whether customers access a service through a direct URL, a Zibster button, or a Services Block.

You can customize the layout without changing the direct URL for your service.

For instructions, see How to Customize Your ECommerce Service Detail Page Layout.

Important: Customers do not need to browse through a Services Block to reach an individual service page. They can open the direct link and proceed with purchasing, provided the service is active and available for purchase.

Helpful Notes

Where Can I Use a Direct ECommerce Service Link?

Once you've verified your service URL, you can use it in several places, including:

  • Email marketing campaigns

  • Text messages

  • Social media posts

  • Promotional landing pages

  • External websites

  • Custom HTML links and buttons

  • QR codes

If you're using a native Zibster button, the Link Picker is generally easier because you can select your service directly.

If you're adding custom HTML to your Zibster website, you can use the verified service URL as the link destination.

For more information, see How to Use the HTML Block on Your Zibster Website.

Please Note: Zibster Support can assist with using the HTML Block and verifying Zibster service links. However, creating, editing, or troubleshooting custom HTML, CSS, and JavaScript falls outside the scope of Zibster Support.

Do I Need a Services Block to Share an Individual Service?

No. A direct service link allows customers to access an individual ECommerce Service without navigating through a Services Block.

If you want customers to browse multiple services on your website, you can add a Services Block and choose which services to display.

Understanding ECommerce Service Canonical URLs

Zibster automatically manages canonical URLs for ECommerce Services.

A canonical URL identifies the preferred version of a page when the same content can be accessed through multiple URLs.

For individual ECommerce Services, the canonical URL follows the /service-page/ structure.

When sharing a direct link, using the verified canonical service URL is recommended.

You do not need to configure canonical tags manually.

Troubleshooting Direct ECommerce Service Links

If your manually constructed service URL doesn't open the correct page, check the following:

  • Website Domain: Confirm that you're using the correct domain for your Zibster website.

  • Service Page Path: Make sure your URL includes /service-page/ (singular), not /services-page/.

  • Service Name: Check the service name and URL formatting, including hyphens and special characters.

  • Service Availability: Open your service under ECOMMERCE → SELL ONLINE → SERVICES and confirm that ACTIVE is enabled. Inactive services are not available for purchase on your website.

  • Public Access: Open the URL in a private or incognito browser window to confirm that customers can access it.

If your link displays a 403 error, access to the requested URL is being denied. This does not automatically mean that direct service links or custom HTML links are unsupported.

If the issue continues, contact Zibster Support with the name of your ECommerce Service and the exact URL you're trying to use.

Our team can help investigate the link and confirm the correct public destination.
