How to Customize Your Page Settings
Overview
Page Settings in the Zibster Website Builder control how an individual page appears and functions on your website. You can change its navigation name, manage its visibility, add a password, and choose whether your website header and footer appear.
This guide explains how to open Page Settings, update the available options, and save your changes.
STEP ONE
Log in to your Zibster account and click WEBSITE in the left-side menu. The Website Builder will open automatically.
STEP TWO
Click the page you want to update. Once the page loads in the Website Builder, click SETTINGS in the upper-right corner above the block options.
The PAGE SETTINGS panel will open for the selected page.
STEP THREE
Use the PAGE SETTINGS panel to update the NAVIGATION NAME, PAGE VISIBILITY, optional PAGE PASSWORD, DISPLAY HEADER, and DISPLAY FOOTER settings for the selected page.
FINAL STEP
Click SAVE CHANGES at the bottom of the PAGE SETTINGS panel.
Your saved settings will be applied to the live page. Click VIEW SITE at the top of the Website Builder if you want to confirm how the page appears to visitors.
Understanding Your Page Settings
Navigation Name
The NAVIGATION NAME is the page label displayed in your website navigation.
You can change this name to make the navigation label shorter or easier for visitors to understand. For example, you could use “Pricing” instead of “Wedding Photography Packages and Pricing.”
Changing the navigation name does not change the page’s URL.
Page Visibility
The PAGE VISIBILITY setting controls whether a page appears in your website navigation and whether visitors can open it directly.
Choose from the following options:

Visible: The page appears in your website navigation and can be accessed through its direct URL.

Hidden: The page does not appear in your navigation and is automatically excluded from your website’s XML sitemap. Anyone with its direct URL can still access the page.

Disabled: The page does not appear in your navigation and cannot be accessed through its direct URL. Visitors who try to open the URL will see a 404 Page Not Found message.
Hidden pages can be helpful for landing pages, promotions, and other content you want to share through a direct link without displaying it in your navigation.
A Hidden page is not private. Although it is excluded from your XML sitemap, someone who has or discovers the direct URL can still open it. Enter a password in PAGE PASSWORD if you need to limit access.

Page Password
Enter a password in PAGE PASSWORD if you want visitors to provide a password before viewing the page.
Page passwords can be helpful for:

Client-only information
-
Private promotions
-
VIP or early-access content
-
Resources intended for a limited audience
Share the password only with visitors who should have access. Depending on their browser settings, visitors may be offered the option to save the password.

Display Header
The website header can include your logo, navigation menu, site links, and social media links.
Select No under DISPLAY HEADER to remove these elements from the selected page. This setting affects only that page and does not remove the header from the rest of your website.
Hiding the header can be useful for landing pages, advertising campaigns, and other pages where you want to limit distractions.

Display Footer
Select No under DISPLAY FOOTER to remove the website footer from the selected page.
This setting affects only that page. It is commonly used with DISPLAY HEADER set to No when creating a focused landing page or promotional page.
Common Ways to Use Page Settings
You can use Page Settings to:
- Change how a page is labeled in your navigation
- Share a page without displaying it in your navigation
- Temporarily take a page offline
- Add password protection to private content
- Create a focused landing page without the website header or footer
- Hide seasonal or promotional pages when they are no longer needed
Troubleshooting Page Settings
The Page Does Not Appear in the Navigation
Open the page’s settings and confirm that Visible is selected under PAGE VISIBILITY. Click SAVE CHANGES after updating the setting.
A page set to Hidden or Disabled will not appear in the website navigation.
The Page URL Shows a 404 Page Not Found Message
Confirm that the page is not set to Disabled. A Disabled page cannot be opened through its direct URL.
Change PAGE VISIBILITY to Visible or Hidden, and then click SAVE CHANGES.
The Page Still Opens After Being Hidden
This is expected. A Hidden page is removed from the website navigation and XML sitemap, but it remains accessible through its direct URL.
Select Disabled under PAGE VISIBILITY to take the page offline, or enter a password in PAGE PASSWORD to limit access.
The Password Prompt Does Not Appear
Your browser may remember that you previously entered the page password. Test the page in a private browsing window or a different browser.
Also confirm that you entered a password in PAGE PASSWORD and clicked SAVE CHANGES.
The Header or Footer Still Appears
Return to PAGE SETTINGS and confirm that No is selected under DISPLAY HEADER or DISPLAY FOOTER. Click SAVE CHANGES, and then refresh the live page.
