The Zibster Website Package allows you to create as many pages as you need for your site, with individual settings for each page. The Page Settings block offers a range of customization options to enhance your website’s user experience and control how content is displayed. With these settings, you can change the navigation name, manage page visibility, hide the header and footer, or even add password protection to specific pages. In this guide, we'll walk you through each step to configure these settings and optimize your site. Whether you’re renaming pages, controlling access, or customizing the layout, this guide will provide clear instructions for making adjustments to your website’s pages.
STEP ONE
Log into your Zibster account and click on WEBSITE in the left-side menu.
STEP TWO
Click on the SETTINGS button on the upper right side of the page, above the blocks you can add to the page.
STEP THREE
Configure Your Page Settings Options
NAVIGATION NAME
Update the Navigation Name to change the page name as it displays in your menu.
PAGE VISIBILITY
This setting allows you to control the visibility of the page for visitors to your website.
- VISIBLE: Visible is the default setting for each page added to your website. A visible page is accessible both in the menu and with the direct page URL.
- HIDDEN: Hidden pages allow you to control who has access to the page, as a hidden page is only accessible via the direct page URL. A page that is hidden is not accessible through the menu, so you will have to provide users with the direct page URL in order for them to view the page. You can find the direct page URL in the page details section as well as under the title of the page in your control panel.
- DISABLED: Disabled pages render the page completely inaccessible. The page will not appear in the menu and it also will not be accessible with the direct page URL. The only way to access information on a disabled page is through your control panel.
PAGE PASSWORD
Allows you to password protect any page in your website.
Important Notes: Drop-down menus and external link pages cannot be password protected. If you enter the password and your browser saves the password, you won't need to re-enter the password again if you return to the page.
DISPLAY HEADER
This setting allows you to disable the header of your website if someone navigates to the page.
DISPLAY FOOTER
This setting allows you to disable the footer of your website is someone navigates to the page.
Click on SAVE CHANGES to apply the page settings you've selected.
