How to Set Up Your Zibster Email on Android Using IMAP
Overview
You can add your Zibster Mailbox to an Android phone or tablet using IMAP. IMAP keeps your email messages, folders, and read status synchronized across your mobile device, other email applications, and webmail.
This guide explains how to enter the incoming and outgoing mail server settings, enable SMTP authentication, and complete your Zibster Mailbox setup. Android menu names may vary depending on your device manufacturer, Android version, and email application.
Prerequisites
Before you begin, make sure you have:
- An active Zibster Mailbox
- Your complete Zibster Mailbox email address
- Your current mailbox password
- An active internet connection
You can confirm that your email address and password are correct by signing in to Zibster Mailbox webmail:
STEP ONE
Open the email account settings on your Android phone or tablet.
Depending on your device, open the Settings app and select Accounts, Passwords & accounts, or Manage accounts. Tap Add account, and then choose Email, Personal (IMAP), or the email application you want to use.
You may also be able to begin directly inside the Gmail or Samsung Email application by selecting the option to add another account.
STEP TWO
Enter your complete Zibster Mailbox email address and mailbox password.
If your device asks you to choose an account type, select IMAP or Personal (IMAP).
If the application attempts to configure the account automatically, select Manual setup so you can enter the required server settings.
Your username must be your complete email address, including the portion after the @ symbol.
STEP THREE
Enter your incoming mail server settings.
Use the following settings:
- Email Address: Your complete email address
- Username: Your complete email address
- Password: Your mailbox password
- IMAP Server: secure.emailsrvr.com
- Security Type: SSL/TLS or SSL
- Port: 993
If your device does not offer an option labeled only SSL, select SSL/TLS.
Manually enter each setting, even if your device automatically fills in a field or marks it as optional.
Tap Next to verify the incoming server settings.
STEP FOUR
Enter your outgoing mail server settings.
Use the following settings:
- SMTP Server: secure.emailsrvr.com
- Security Type: SSL/TLS or SSL
- Port: 465
- Require Sign-In or Authentication Required: Enabled
- Username: Your complete email address
- Password: Your mailbox password
SMTP authentication must be enabled for your device to send email from your Zibster Mailbox.
Tap Next to verify the outgoing server settings.
STEP FIVE
Choose your preferred account options.
Depending on your email application, you may be able to control:
- How often the application checks for new messages
- Whether email notifications are enabled
- How many days of email are stored on the device
- Whether the mailbox is used as your default sending account
- Whether email automatically synchronizes
Select the options you prefer, and then tap Next or Continue.
FINAL STEP
Enter a name for the account and the sender name you want recipients to see.
The Account Name is only used to identify the mailbox on your device. For example, you could enter Work Email or Zibster Mailbox.
The Your Name or Display Name field controls the name that appears in the From field when you send an email.
Tap Done, Finish Setup, or Next to complete the process.
Open your email application and allow several minutes for your messages and folders to begin synchronizing.

- Check the email address and password for typing errors.
- Make sure there are no spaces before or after your email address or password.
- Delete any automatically entered password and type it manually.
- Confirm that both server names are entered as secure.emailsrvr.com.
- Confirm that Require Sign-In or SMTP authentication is enabled.
- Confirm that the incoming port is 993.
- Confirm that the outgoing port is 465.
- Confirm that SSL/TLS or SSL is selected for both servers.
You can also test your email address and password by signing in to webmail:
If you cannot sign in to webmail, your mailbox password may need to be reset. Contact the administrator of your Zibster account or the Zibster Support Team for assistance.
Additional Notes and FAQs
What should I select if SSL is not listed?
Some Android email applications list the security option as SSL/TLS instead of SSL. Select SSL/TLS when SSL is not available by itself.
Do not select Accept all certificates unless the Zibster Support Team specifically instructs you to use that option.
Why can I receive email but not send it?
Confirm that Require Sign-In or Authentication Required is enabled in the outgoing server settings.
The outgoing mail server must use the following settings:
-
Server: secure.emailsrvr.com
-
Port: 465
-
Security Type: SSL/TLS or SSL
-
Username: Your complete email address
-
Password: Your mailbox password
Why are my messages not appearing yet?
Your email application may need several minutes to download your folders and messages after the account is added.
Confirm that email synchronization is enabled in the account settings. You can also close and reopen the email application or refresh the inbox manually.
Where can I find instructions for my specific device?
Android settings can vary between Google Pixel, Samsung Galaxy, Motorola, and other devices. Menu names can also vary depending on the Android version and email application you use.
For instructions customized to your device and email application, use the following email setup tool:
