How to Submit Your Sitemap to Bing Webmaster Tools

Submitting your sitemap to Bing Webmaster Tools helps Bing discover the pages on your website. Your Zibster website automatically creates and updates your sitemap, so you do not need to build one manually.
This guide explains how to verify your Zibster website with Bing Webmaster Tools and submit your sitemap.
Important Note About Bing Webmaster Tools
Bing Webmaster Tools is a third-party service owned and managed by Microsoft. Zibster is not associated with Bing or Microsoft and does not control Bing’s verification process, crawl schedule, indexing decisions, search rankings, or reporting tools.

STEP ONE
Open Bing Webmaster Tools in a new browser tab. Log in to your account or follow Bing’s prompts to create one.
Once you are logged in, choose the option to add your website manually. Enter the full website URL for your Zibster website, including https://.
STEP TWO
Select the HTML META TAG verification method in Bing Webmaster Tools. Copy the complete meta tag exactly as Bing provides it.
In another browser tab, log in to your Zibster account and click WEBSITE in the left-side menu. At the top of your Website control panel, click TRACKING.
Locate the HEAD area and paste the Bing verification meta tag. If this area already contains tracking code or other tags, add the Bing tag without removing the existing content. Click SAVE CHANGES.
Return to Bing Webmaster Tools and complete the verification process. Once Bing confirms the meta tag, your website will show as verified.
STEP THREE
After your website is verified, click SITEMAPS in the left-side menu inside Bing Webmaster Tools.
This section lets you submit your sitemap and review its processing status.
STEP FOUR
Click SUBMIT SITEMAP.
Bing will open a field where you can enter your sitemap URL.
FINAL STEP
Enter your sitemap URL using this format:
https://www.yourdomain.com/sitemap.xml
Replace www.yourdomain.com with your actual website domain. You can open the URL in another browser tab to confirm that your sitemap loads before submitting it.

After entering your sitemap URL, click SUBMIT.
Your sitemap is now submitted to Bing Webmaster Tools. Bing may display its processing status and crawl information as it reviews the sitemap. Bing controls when your website is crawled and which pages are indexed.
Helpful Notes
Submitting your sitemap helps Bing discover your website pages, but it does not guarantee that every page will appear in Bing search results or receive higher rankings.
Your Zibster sitemap updates automatically as you change your website pages. You do not need to create a new sitemap manually.
If you recently launched your website or changed your domain, allow time for Bing to crawl and process your website.
Keep the Bing verification meta tag in your HEAD area after verification so Bing can continue to confirm your access to the website.

What should I check if Bing reports a sitemap error?
Confirm that your sitemap URL is typed correctly and opens in your browser. Make sure your domain is connected to your Zibster website.

Does Zibster submit my sitemap to Bing for me?
No. Zibster automatically creates and updates your sitemap, but you need to submit it through your own Bing Webmaster Tools account.
