How to Change Zibster Mailbox Behaviors in Apple Mail on iPhone or iPad
Overview
The Mailbox Behaviors settings in Apple Mail control which folders are used for drafts, sent messages, deleted messages, and archived messages for your Zibster Mailbox.
Changing these settings can help if Apple Mail is saving messages to an unexpected folder or if you see multiple folders for sent, deleted, or archived email.
This guide walks you through finding the Mailbox Behaviors settings on your iPhone or iPad, selecting the folder Apple Mail should use, and saving your changes.
Prerequisites
Before you begin:
- Your Zibster Mailbox must already be added to the Apple Mail app on your iPhone or iPad.
- You should know which mailbox behavior or folder you want to change.
STEP FIVE
Under Mailbox Behaviors, tap the setting you want to change.
Depending on your device and account configuration, you may see options for:
- Drafts Mailbox
- Sent Mailbox
- Deleted Mailbox
- Archive Mailbox
These settings tell Apple Mail which folder on your Zibster Mailbox server should be used for each type of message.
FINAL STEP
Select the folder you want Apple Mail to use for the Mailbox Behavior you are changing.
After selecting the folder, tap the back arrow to return to the Mailbox Behaviors screen. Tap the back arrow again to return to your account settings, then tap DONE to save your updated settings.
The folder you selected should now appear next to that Mailbox Behavior. Apple Mail will use that location for future messages associated with that behavior.
Additional Options and Helpful Notes
- Mailbox Behaviors control folder locations. These settings determine where Apple Mail stores drafts, sent messages, deleted messages, and archived messages for your Zibster Mailbox.
- Changing a Mailbox Behavior does not move existing email. Messages already stored in another folder remain there. The updated setting controls where Apple Mail stores messages going forward.
- Folder names can vary. Depending on your account configuration, you may see folders with names such as Sent, Sent Messages, Trash, Deleted Messages, Drafts, or Archive.
- Incorrect folder selections can create duplicate or unexpected folders. If sent, deleted, or archived messages appear in an unexpected location, check the Mailbox Behaviors settings to make sure Apple Mail is using the server folder you want.
- You usually do not need to change these settings if your email is working correctly. Mailbox Behaviors are primarily useful when troubleshooting how Apple Mail organizes messages.

Troubleshooting / FAQs
Why are my sent messages going into the wrong folder?
Open the Mailbox Behaviors settings and check the Sent Mailbox selection. Make sure Apple Mail is using the appropriate Sent folder for your Zibster Mailbox.
Why do I have more than one Sent or Trash folder?
This can happen when an email application uses a different folder from the folder already configured on the mail server.
Check your Mailbox Behaviors and make sure Apple Mail is mapped to the folder you want to use.
Existing messages in the other folder are not automatically moved when you change this setting.
What if I do not see the same options shown in this guide?
Available Mailbox Behaviors and menu locations can vary depending on your iPhone or iPad software version and how the email account is configured.
