How to Create an Under Construction Page for Your Zibster Website
Overview
An Under Construction page allows you to temporarily display a message to visitors while you update or redesign your website behind the scenes. This is helpful when you are refreshing your branding, rebuilding pages, or preparing new content without exposing unfinished work to visitors.
Zibster includes professionally designed Under Construction page layouts that you can customize with your own images, text, branding, and contact information.
This guide walks you through how to create an Under Construction page and make it your website’s active homepage while you continue updating the rest of your website.
Important to Know
The page at the top of your Website Builder page list becomes your website homepage.
Visitors will automatically see whichever page is positioned first in the page list.
You can continue editing hidden pages and lower-level pages privately while your Under Construction page is live.
STEP ONE
Log into your Zibster account and click WEBSITE in the left-side menu.
This opens your Website Builder, where you can manage your website pages and content blocks.
STEP TWO
Click the NEW PAGE button at the top of the Website Builder.
This opens the page creation options where you can create a new page using the Zibster AI Website Creator.
STEP THREE
The Zibster AI Website Creator will open. On the Select Your Page Type screen, click UNDER CONSTRUCTION in the Filter By section.
This filters the available layouts to show Under Construction page designs.
STEP FOUR
Browse the available Under Construction layouts and click SELECT on the design you want to use.
After selecting your layout, click CONTINUE in the right-side panel.
STEP FIVE
Enter a name for your Under Construction page and choose the Page Visibility setting.
For most Under Construction pages, the recommended setting is VISIBLE.
Click CONTINUE when finished.
STEP SIX
Upload the images you want to use for your Under Construction page.
The Zibster AI Website Creator will show how many images are required for the layout you selected. You can upload new images or choose images already saved to your Image Clipboard.
Once your images are selected, click CREATE PAGE.
The Zibster AI Page Creator will creat your new under construction page in minutes.
FINAL STEP
In the Website Builder page list, click and drag your Under Construction page to the top of the page list.
The page at the top of your Website Builder becomes your website homepage. Moving your Under Construction page to the top allows visitors to see the temporary page while you continue working on your other pages.
When your website updates are complete, you can delete the Under Construction page or drag your preferred homepage back to the top of the page list.
Helpful Notes
Under Construction pages are fully customizable in the Website Builder.
Changes made in the Website Builder automatically save to your website in real time. There is no separate publish button.
You can continue editing hidden pages or lower-level pages while your Under Construction page is live.
Consider adding your email address, phone number, social media links, or a Form Block so visitors can still contact you while your website is being updated.
The Zibster AI Website Creator uses your Business Profile information to help generate relevant page content and layouts.
The number of required images depends on the layout you select.
You can replace or update images on the page at any time after it is created.
Using an Under Construction page temporarily will not remove your website from search engines. Your existing pages and content can still remain active unless you hide or delete them.
When your website is ready, you can delete the Under Construction page or move your preferred homepage back to the top of the page list.
