How to Reset Your Zibster Live or Draft Website and Start Over
Overview
You can reset your Zibster Live Website or Draft Website when you want to remove its Website Builder content and start again. Resetting permanently deletes the selected version’s pages, content, and design customizations. Resetting a Draft Website lets you begin a new draft without changing your Live Website. This guide explains the requirements for each option, what is deleted, what stays saved, and how to complete the reset.
Consider a Draft Website Before Resetting Your Live Website
If you want a fresh design without deleting your current website, consider creating a Draft Website first.
You can build a new version while your current website stays live. Use the AI website setup process to generate a starting website or click SKIP SETUP to build from a template yourself.
When you publish the draft, it becomes your new Live Website, and your previous Live Website is saved as your Draft Website.
Important: Both versions use shared account content, including products, Mood Boards, blog posts, Forms, and Scheduler services. Editing shared content may affect your Live Website.

Before You Begin
Resetting a Live Website
You can reset your Live Website only if:

Your Zibster account is less than 90 days old.

A domain has not been set up on your account.
You may reset your Live Website as many times as needed during the 90-day period, as long as a domain has not been set up.
If your account does not meet these requirements, RESET WEBSITE will not appear. Use a Draft Website to create a new version instead.
Resetting a Draft Website
The 90-day and domain restrictions do not apply to resetting a Draft Website.
You can reset an existing draft and start again while keeping your Live Website available. Resetting the draft permanently removes its Website Builder content and customizations.
Important: Resetting Cannot Be Undone
Resetting permanently deletes content added directly inside the selected website version’s Website Builder, including:

Website pages

Text added to website pages
-
Images uploaded directly into website pages
-
Page layouts
-
Website Builder design and layout customizations
Check which version you are editing before continuing. Save anything you want to reuse before resetting.
Save Your Content First
Copy any text you want to keep, such as your About page copy, service descriptions, pricing information, and contact details.
Save copies of images uploaded directly into website pages. If you do not have copies saved elsewhere, move those images into your Image Clipboard before resetting.
What Is Not Deleted
Resetting a website does not reset your entire Zibster account. The following remain available:

Images stored in your Image Clipboard

Images saved in Global Branding
-
Blog posts
-
Mood Boards
-
ECommerce products and services
-
Scheduler settings
-
Marketing content and settings
-
Account data outside the Website Builder
You can reuse images from your Image Clipboard and Global Branding when rebuilding.
Although content such as blog posts, products, and Mood Boards remains in your account, pages and blocks displaying that content in the reset version are removed. Add the appropriate blocks or links when rebuilding so visitors can access that content again.
STEP ONE
Log in to your Zibster account and click WEBSITE in the left-side menu.
STEP TWO
Check the website selector in the upper-left corner of the Website Builder.
To reset your Live Website, click the selector and select LIVE WEBSITE. To reset your Draft Website, select DRAFT WEBSITE.
Confirm that the selector displays the version you want to reset. Then click SETTINGS in the top navigation.
STEP THREE
The Website Settings screen opens with 301 REDIRECTS selected by default.
If you are editing your Live Website, click RESET WEBSITE. This option appears only when your account meets the Live Website reset requirements.
If you are editing your Draft Website, click RESET DRAFT WEBSITE.
STEP FOUR
Review the reset warning. Before continuing, make sure you have saved any text, images, or other website content you want to keep.
Select the checkbox confirming that you understand the reset will permanently delete the selected website version’s content and cannot be undone.
For a Live Website, click YES, RESET MY WEBSITE. For a Draft Website, click YES, RESET MY DRAFT WEBSITE.
The final confirmation panel opens on the right side of the screen.
STEP FIVE
Review the final confirmation warning.
For a Live Website, enter your Zibster account password under ENTER PASSWORD TO RESET WEBSITE. For a Draft Website, enter it under ENTER PASSWORD TO RESET DRAFT WEBSITE.
Select the checkbox confirming that you understand the reset will permanently delete the selected website version’s content and cannot be undone.
FINAL STEP
For a Live Website, click YES, RESET MY WEBSITE. For a Draft Website, click YES, RESET MY DRAFT WEBSITE.
The selected website version resets immediately. Its Website Builder content and customizations are permanently removed, and you are returned to the website setup process.
For either version, you can use the AI website setup process again or click SKIP SETUP to build from a template yourself.
If you reset your Draft Website, your Live Website remains unchanged and available at your connected domain.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why do I not see Reset Website?
The RESET WEBSITE option for your Live Website is available only if your Zibster account is less than 90 days old and a domain has not been set up on the account.
If your account does not meet those requirements, use a Draft Website to create a new version.
If you want to reset an existing draft, select DRAFT WEBSITE, click SETTINGS, then click RESET DRAFT WEBSITE.
Can I reset a Draft Website if my account is more than 90 days old or already has a domain?
Yes. Those restrictions apply only to resetting a Live Website. You can reset your Draft Website and start again without changing your Live Website.
Can Zibster undo a website reset?
No. Resetting either version is permanent. Save any content you want to keep before completing the reset.
Does resetting a website cancel my Zibster account?
No. Resetting removes Website Builder content from the selected version so you can rebuild it. It does not cancel your Zibster account.
Will my Image Clipboard or Global Branding images be deleted?
No. Images stored in your Image Clipboard and Global Branding remain available after the reset.
Can I use the AI website setup process again?
Yes. After resetting your Live Website or Draft Website, you can go through the AI website setup process again.
Does resetting my Draft Website publish anything?
No. Resetting clears the draft so you can rebuild it. Your Live Website remains the version visitors see at your connected domain. When your new draft is ready, you can publish it to replace your Live Website.
