Check Your Sales Tax Settings

👉 If you haven’t set up a sales tax line yet, check out our guide: How to Add a Sales Tax Line.
Once set up, your sales tax rates and regions should appear on this page.
STEP TWO
Go to Quotes & Invoices
Click QUOTES & INVOICES in your left-hand menu.
STEP THREE
Open the Invoices Section
Click INVOICES at the top of the Quotes & Invoices panel.
STEP FOUR
Open or Create an Invoice
Click on an invoice number to view an existing invoice, or click NEW INVOICE to create one.
STEP FIVE
Check the Contact’s Info
If your sales tax is set up and your items are marked as taxable, the final thing to verify is your client’s contact details. Sales tax is calculated based on the billing and shipping address.
Be sure the following fields are filled in for your contact:
- Country
- State
- County (if required by your tax setup)
👉 If any of this info is missing, sales tax will not appear on the invoice.
💡 PRO TIP
The Sales Tax section in your ECommerce settings also includes downloadable tax reports to help you stay organized for tax season.
