How to Handle Suspicious or Phishing Emails in Zibster Mailbox

If you receive a suspicious or unwanted email in your Zibster Mailbox, you can quickly mark it as spam. This helps keep your inbox clean and improves your mailbox’s spam filter over time.

Important Note: Phishing emails are fake messages that pretend to come from trusted companies in order to trick you into sharing personal or financial information. Always check the sender’s email address carefully before clicking links or downloading attachments. If an email looks suspicious, it’s safer to mark it as spam.

STEP ONE

Log into your Zibster Mailbox.

  • Go to https://mailbox.zibster.com and log in with your email address and password.

STEP TWO

Find and open the suspicious email.

  • Do not click on any links, buttons, or attachments in the message.

STEP THREE

Mark the email as spam. You have two options:

  • Option 1: Drag and drop the email into your Spam folder.

  • Option 2: Click the More button in your inbox toolbar and select Mark as Spam.

The email will move to your Spam folder and be flagged to help improve filtering in the future.

FINAL STEP

Stay alert for phishing attempts.

  • Never provide personal information, passwords, or financial details by email.

  • If you’re unsure whether an email is legitimate, contact the company directly using a trusted phone number or official website instead of replying to the message.

Red Flags of Phishing Emails

Watch for these common warning signs:

  • Suspicious Sender Address
The email address doesn’t match the company’s official domain (example: support@zibster-123.com instead of supportteam@zibster.com).

  • Generic Greetings
The message says “Dear Customer” instead of addressing you by name.

  • Poor Spelling & Grammar
Many phishing emails contain spelling errors, awkward wording, or incorrect punctuation.

  • Urgent or Threatening Language
Scammers may try to pressure you with phrases like “Your account will be closed” or “Immediate action required.”

  • Strange Links or Attachments
Hover over a link before clicking. If the link doesn’t match the company’s website, don’t click. Never download unexpected attachments.

  • Requests for Personal Information
Legitimate companies will never ask you to email passwords, credit card numbers, or other sensitive details.

Why It’s Important

Marking spam helps your Zibster Mailbox learn which messages you don’t want, keeping your inbox safer and more organized.
