HOW TO ADD TAGS TO CONTACTS WHEN IMPORTING
When you import contacts into your Zibster account, you can assign tags to help organize your list. Tags make it easy to send targeted email campaigns to specific groups of contacts.
Follow the steps below to import your contacts and add tags during the import process.
STEP ONE
Log into your Zibster account and click on CONTACTS in the left-side menu.
STEP TWO
Click on the IMPORT button inside the CONTACTS control panel.
STEP THREE
Select and Upload Your File
Click on the BROWSE button and select your .CSV file from your computer's file directory.
STEP FOUR
Once selected, click on the green CONTINUE button.
Preview & Map Columns: You'll see an import preview. Use the drop-down menus at the top of each column to map your CSV file's columns correctly.
Complete Import Details:
- SELECT A TYPE: Choose from CUSTOMER, LEAD, or VENDOR.
- SELECT TAGS: Add tags to help organize your contacts. Enter a tag and click ADD TAG. Repeat for multiple tags.
Permission Certification: Check the box certifying you have permission to use these email addresses.
Click the IMPORT button to import your contacts.
WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?
After the import is complete, you'll see a summary that shows:
- The type of contacts imported
- Any tags you assigned
- The number of contacts successfully imported
- Any contacts that were skipped (due to missing email addresses or duplicates)
If an email address in your CSV already exists in your Zibster account, it will not be added as a duplicate. Instead, the existing contact will be updated with the new tag(s) you assigned during the import.
If an existing contact was already part of previous email campaigns, they will be included in future campaigns if you send to the tag you assigned during this import and won't be a new, unverified contact.
