Troubleshooting: Unable to Delete Emails in Your Zibster Mailbox
If your Zibster Mailbox is full, you may not be able to send or receive new emails until you clear space. The best way to do this is by logging into Webmail and deleting older messages. If you're having trouble deleting emails, this guide explains the most common issues and how to resolve them.
Issue: Deleted Emails Keep Reappearing
What’s happening:
If you delete a large batch of emails at once (such as an entire page), Webmail may take some time to fully process the action. During this period, you may see those emails temporarily reappear.
What to do:
Give Webmail some time. In most cases, the deleted emails will disappear permanently within 30–60 minutes after processing completes.
Issue: Error Message When Deleting Emails
Example:
[OVERQUOTA] Quota exceeded (mailbox for user is full)
What’s happening:
Your mailbox has reached its storage limit. When you delete an email, Webmail attempts to move it to the Trash folder, but because the mailbox is full, it cannot perform the action — resulting in an error message.
How to fix it:
STEP ONE
Log into your Zibster Mailbox Webmail.
STEP TWO
Click the menu icon (☰) in the top-right corner and select Settings.
STEP THREE
Under General Settings, uncheck the following options:
• Move deleted email to the Trash folder
• Move purged email to the Trash folder
STEP FOUR
Click Save to apply your changes.
Once these options are disabled, emails you delete will be permanently removed instead of being moved to the Trash. This allows you to clear space immediately and restore normal Mailbox function.
