Important: Your Domain Registration Stays with Your Registrar

Changing your name servers connects your domain to Zibster, but it does not transfer your domain registration. Be sure to keep your domain active with your current registrar unless you choose to transfer it to Zibster.

💡 Have a Domain-Based Email? Read This First!

If you have an email like info@yourdomain.com, send us your email provider’s MX records before changing your name servers. This helps keep your email running smoothly!

If you update your name servers first, your email may go down temporarily. Once we’ve added your MX records, your email will be restored within 2-24 hours.

Before You Change Your Name Servers

✅ Turn Off DNSSEC – If DNSSEC is active, it can slow down the process and cause issues launching your site.

✅ Complete Your Website Design – While your domain updates (usually 24-48 hours), you won’t be able to access your website builder. Once your domain propagates and SSL encryption is live, you’ll regain access.

No worries! Here’s how to find out:

Go to this tool.
Enter your domain name (including .com, .org, .net, etc.).
Click "WHOIS" to view the results.

Look for the "Registrar" field to see where your domain is registered. If you don’t recognize it, check for the "Reseller" field—some companies use third-party registrars.
