Understanding Unsubscribes in Zibster Email Marketing
Overview
Zibster Email Marketing includes a built-in unsubscribe link in every marketing email you send. This allows recipients to opt out of future marketing emails at any time. Unsubscribes help you stay compliant with email marketing regulations, protect your sender reputation, and keep your contact list focused on engaged subscribers.
This guide explains how unsubscribes work in Zibster and what happens when someone opts out of your email marketing.
Why the Unsubscribe Link Matters
Every marketing email sent through Zibster automatically includes an unsubscribe link. This link is required and cannot be removed.
The unsubscribe link helps you:
• Stay compliant with email marketing regulations such as CAN-SPAM and GDPR
• Protect your sender reputation and improve email deliverability
• Give recipients control over the emails they receive
• Keep your contact list clean and focused on active subscribers
What Happens When Someone Unsubscribes
When a contact unsubscribes from your Zibster email marketing, they are automatically excluded from future marketing emails.
This includes:
• One-time email campaigns
• Automated email workflows
• Future marketing messages sent through Zibster Email Marketing
The unsubscribe process happens automatically. No manual cleanup is required.
How Unsubscribed Contacts Affect Email Usage
Unsubscribed contacts are excluded from future email sends. Because they are not sent additional marketing emails, they do not count toward your monthly marketing email usage.
Only active, subscribed contacts who are eligible to receive marketing emails count toward your monthly email usage.

You can review unsubscribe activity from your Zibster email marketing reports.
