Promo Bars allow you to highlight news, events, promotions, and more on your web pages and Mood Board events. Promo Bars can also feature background images, one or two buttons, and 250 characters of text. The Promo Bars can display at the bottom or top of a given page.
Setting Up Promo Bars
STEP ONE
Login to your Zibster account and select MARKETING in the left side menu.
STEP TWO
In the top menu, select POP-UP BUILDER.
STEP THREE
Select the NEW POP-UP button
SELECT YOUR LAYOUT
Promo Bars are located on the first row of layouts after clicking new in the pop-up builder. There are three layouts to choose from.
ADD YOUR TEXT
The text tab allows you to add up to 255 characters of text to display on your Promotion Bar. You can also make the entire selection of text clickable to another area or action. Not sure what 250 characters looks like? The selection of text in the image below is exactly 255 characters!
Click save changes to save your text!
ADD BUTTONS
You can add up to two different buttons to your Promo Bar. Each button can link to their own respective area.
Enter what you want your button(s) to say in the button text field(s) and make the appropriate selection for linking under the link to drop-down menu.
Click save changes to finish!
CUSTOMIZE YOUR STYLING
The styling tab will allow you to determine the location of your pop-up, which can be at the top or bottom of a given page.
CHOOSE YOUR COLORS
The colors area allows you to determine your Promo Bar's background, text, and button colors. You can save your changes and see what the colors look like in the preview of your Promo Bar at the top of the screen.
FONTS
You can choose the font for your Promo Bar's text area in the font tab.
BACKGROUND
Don't want your Promo Bar to be a solid color? Use a background image to make your promotion stand out! You can choose to upload a custom background or choose one from our background library. Make sure to save your changes!
PUBLISH YOUR PROMO BAR
When you're ready for the world to see your new Promo Bar, navigate to the publish button located at the top right of your Pop-up Builder.
POP-UP NAME
You can change the name of your Promo Bar in this section to be able to better distinguish one pop-up and promo bar from another in your control panel. Only you can see your pop-up names.
DISPLAY IN BUILDER AND/OR PROOFING
You can choose to display your Promo Bar on all of the pages of your website, a specific page, or not at all. You can also choose to display your Promo Bar in all of your Proofing Events, a specific Proofing event category, or not at all.
PRO TIP!

If a Promo Bar is set to display on all pages and isn't closed out by a user, it will follow them from page to page until closed.
FREQUENCY
This setting will allow you to control how soon a visitor will see your Promo Bar again after closing it out. You can choose to display your Promo Bar only once, every day, every 7 days, or every 30 days.
PUBLISH DATE
You can determine when your pop-up will be published and even set it up ahead of time. You can also determine what date you would like the pop-up to discontinue by adjusting the expiration date. Click the publish button to save all of your changes!
