Viewing Mood Board Activity in Zibster

Zibster Mood Boards include an activity tracker that lets you see how clients and visitors interact with your shared Mood Boards. You can view when someone accesses a Mood Board, which images they mark as favorites, any comments they leave, and any download activity that occurs.

This guide explains how to view Mood Board activity and how to understand the data shown.

STEP ONE

Log in to your Zibster account and click MOOD BOARDS in the left-side menu.

This opens your Mood Boards dashboard.

STEP TWO

At the top center of the Mood Boards control panel, click ACTIVITY.

This opens the activity tracker, which displays all recorded activity across your Mood Board projects.

FINAL STEP

Click a client’s name or email address to open their detailed activity report.

From this view, you can see favorites, comments, download activity, and access history tied to that email address.

When activity exists, you will see dates, counts, and clickable links for each interaction.

Understanding Mood Board Activity Data

The activity tracker displays interaction data based on the email address a visitor provides when interacting with a Mood Board. Available activity may include:

Favorites

Displays which images the viewer has marked as favorites. Thumbnails are shown so you can quickly identify preferred images.

Comments

Lists all comments left on the Mood Board, along with the images they relate to. You can review feedback and reply as needed.

Downloads

Shows Single Downloads and Bulk Downloads when file downloads are enabled on the Mood Board. This includes individual image downloads and full project downloads.

Created

The date the Mood Board was accessed for the first time.

Last Saved

The most recent date the Mood Board was accessed or interacted with.

Favorites Management Options

When viewing a client’s favorites, you have access to the following tools:

  • Export
Exports a list of favorited image filenames for use in photo editing software such as Lightroom.
  • Print
Prints a list that includes thumbnails and filenames.

  • Send Files to Download

Export Favorites

You can export a client’s favorites list to use in your editing workflow. The export tools allow you to:

  • Download a CSV file of filenames

  • Copy the file list for pasting into Lightroom

  • Choose whether to include file extensions

If you need detailed steps, see How To Export Client Galleries Event Favorites to Lightroom.

Send Favorites To Download

You can email a client a download link for the images they have marked as favorites. This is useful when delivering selected images outside of a purchase workflow.

For step-by-step instructions, see How To Send A Client Their Favorites as a Digital Download

Comments

This section allows you to see a full list of the comments the individual left and the opportunity to reply to the comments. Each comment includes a link to view the image they commented on.

Downloads

SINGLE DOWNLOADS and BULK DOWNLOADS will show you the download activity from your clients if you've made digital downloads available for their event. This will include both individual file downloads and any of the gallery/project downloads that a client has done.

Bulk Downloads will show you The date, which galleries, how many images, and the file resolution

How Email Collection Affects Activity Tracking

Mood Board activity is tied to an email address.

  • If a visitor enters an email address when viewing or interacting with the Mood Board, all activity is tracked under that email.

  • If no email address is provided, only limited activity may be recorded.

  • Activity tracking begins once an email address is submitted.

Understanding Zero or Missing Activity

If a contact appears in the activity list but shows zero interactions, the viewer opened the Mood Board but did not take any tracked actions such as liking an image or leaving a comment.

If no activity appears at all, one of the following applies:

  • The Mood Board has not been accessed

  • The viewer did not provide an email address

  • No trackable actions were taken

Important Notes About Mood Boards

  • Mood Boards do not support ecommerce

  • Activity data is informational and intended to guide client communication

Helpful Tip

You can click a contact’s name from the activity view to open their full contact record in your Zibster Contacts section.
