ECommerce Shopping Cart Overview in Zibster

The Zibster ECommerce Shopping Cart allows visitors on your website to collect products, services, and Scheduler items before completing checkout. This article explains how the shopping cart works from the client’s perspective when purchasing directly through your Zibster website. The cart helps guide clients toward completing their order while allowing them to review items, make changes, or return later to finish checkout.

This experience applies only to purchases made through your Zibster website using ECommerce. The checkout process for Form Payments and Invoices is separate from this.

HOW CLIENTS ACCESS THE SHOPPING CART

Clients can access their shopping cart at any time by clicking the Shopping Cart icon on your website.

The location of the Shopping Cart icon depends on your website template and header layout settings. Once at least one item is added, clicking the icon opens the shopping cart panel.

WHAT CLIENTS SEE IN THE SHOPPING CART

When the shopping cart opens, it appears as a right-side panel displaying the client’s selected items along with basic pricing details.

From the shopping cart panel, clients can:

  • Review items added to their cart

  • Apply a coupon code before checkout

  • View their subtotal before taxes, shipping, or discounts

  • Proceed to checkout and complete payment

  • Close the cart and continue shopping on your website

Clients can add products, services, or Scheduler items, close the cart, and return later to complete their purchase as long as they use the same device and browser.

CHECKOUT & ORDER FLEXIBILITY

The Zibster ECommerce Shopping Cart is designed to support flexible purchasing behavior. Clients can review their selections, make changes, and return to checkout when they are ready. This helps reduce abandoned orders while keeping the checkout experience simple and intuitive.

Helpful Notes

  • Cart contents are stored locally in the client’s browser

  • Clearing browser data or switching devices may reset the cart

  • Coupons must be applied before completing checkout
