How to Set Up Sales Tax in Zibster
Zibster makes it easy to collect sales tax on payments through your ECommerce, Forms, Invoices, and Scheduler tools. You can set up tax lines based on your customer’s location to ensure the correct amount is charged.
This guide will walk you through how to create a sales tax line in your Zibster control panel.

STEP ONE
Go to the ECommerce Section
Log into your Zibster account and click ECOMMERCE from the right-hand menu.
STEP TWO
Mouse over the PAYMENT option and in the drop down menu that opens, click on TAXES.
STEP THREE
Create a New Tax Line
Click the NEW TAX LINE button to begin.
STEP FOUR
Set Up Your Tax Line
Fill out the following fields:
- Description
Enter a clear name for the tax (e.g., “NC Sales Tax”). This will appear on your customer's order summary.
- Sales Tax Rate
Enter the percentage rate (e.g.,7.25
for 7.25%).
- Country
Select the country where this tax should apply. Only customers in that country will be charged.

State/Province

Choose ALL to apply the tax to every state or province

Or select a specific state/province to apply the tax only in that area
Example: If you select “North Carolina,” only customers with a North Carolina address will be charged.

County (Optional)
If needed, enter a specific county name. If your tax rules are county-based, repeat this step for each county you serve. -
Apply in Addition to Any Applicable Tax
Choose Yes if this tax should be added on top of other applicable tax rates (like combining state and county taxes). -
Apply Sales Tax to Shipping
Choose Yes if your region requires sales tax to be collected on shipping.
FINAL STEP
Save Your Tax Line
Click ADD TAX LINE to save your settings.
You can repeat these steps to create as many tax lines as you need for different regions or rules.
