How to Set Up 301 Redirects in the Zibster Website Builder
The Zibster Website Builder makes it easy to create 301 redirects — which are permanent URL redirects that send visitors (and search engines) from an old page URL to a new one. This helps keep your SEO value and ensures a smooth user experience when pages are renamed or removed.
Follow the steps below to set up a redirect on your Zibster website:
STEP ONE
Log into your Zibster account and click on WEBSITE in the left-side menu.
STEP TWO
At the top of the Website Builder, click on SETTINGS.
STEP THREE
From the list of settings options, click on Redirects.
STEP FOUR
A panel will open on the right-hand side. Here, you’ll set up your redirect:
-
ORIGINAL URL: Enter the old URL path that you want to redirect from (just the part after your domain name).
-
REDIRECT TO: Choose where the traffic should go. You can select from the following options:
-
None – No redirect is applied.
-
External Link – Redirects to a URL outside your website.
-
Page – Choose an existing page on your website.
-
Form – Redirect to a Zibster form you’ve created.
-
Email Marketing – Redirect to a published campaign.
-
File – Redirect to a file from your Documents section.
-
⚠️ Important Note
If you’re redirecting an old page to a new one, make sure the old page is either deleted or disabled in your Website Builder. This ensures the 301 redirect works correctly and avoids conflicts.
Once you’ve added a redirect, it will appear in a list in this section for easy editing or removal later.
