How to Keep Your Zibster Mailbox Active When Changing Your Domain Name
If you have a Zibster Mailbox connected to your current domain and you plan to change your domain name, you can absolutely keep your existing mailbox active. This guide explains what must remain in place so that your email continues working without interruptions.
STEP ONE
Keep your current domain registration active.
If you want to continue using the email addresses associated with your existing domain, you must keep that domain registered.
Even if you switch to a new domain for your website, do not cancel or allow your old domain to expire. Your domain must remain active for your mailbox to continue functioning.
STEP TWO
Maintain your Zibster Mailbox MX records in DNS
Your DNS settings must continue pointing to the correct MX (Mail Exchange) records so your email can be delivered without issues.
Make sure your domain’s DNS still includes the Zibster Mailbox MX Records.

STEP THREE
Keep your Mailbox Add-on active in your Zibster account.
Your Mailbox product must stay active under your membership.
If the Mailbox add-on is removed from your account, your email service will stop immediately.

Updated any additional settings as needed.
