How to Customize Gift Card Emails in Zibster
The Zibster Website Package includes ECommerce tools that allow you to sell products, services, and gift cards through your Online Store. When a client purchases a gift card, Zibster can automatically send an email containing the gift card details. This guide walks you through how to customize the subject line and message for those automated gift card emails.
By the end of this article, you will know where to edit gift card email settings and how those changes affect future purchases.
STEP ONE
Log into your Zibster account and click ECOMMERCE in the left-side menu.
STEP TWO
At the top-center of the ECommerce control panel, hover over SELL ONLINE, then select GIFT CARDS from the drop-down menu.
STEP THREE
In the upper-right corner of the Gift Cards control panel, click the SETTINGS button.
STEP FOUR
A right-side settings panel will open. Configure the following Automated Email options:

SUBJECT
Enter the subject line for the automated gift card email. -
MESSAGE
Enter the thank-you message and any details you want included in the gift card email. -
AUTOMATED EMAIL
Toggle Yes to automatically send the email when a gift card is purchased, or No to disable automated sending.
Click SAVE CHANGES at the bottom of the panel to apply your updates.
Helpful Notes
- Changes only apply to future gift card purchases. Previously sent gift card emails are not updated.
- Leaving Automated Email enabled ensures clients receive their gift card details immediately after checkout.
- Using a clear subject line and message can reduce client confusion and follow-up support requests.
