To make your existing domain name purchased from Enom work with your Zibster site, you need to point the name servers pointed to ns.rackspace.com and ns2.rackspace.com. Below are instructions on how to change your name servers at Enom.
Note: Changing your name servers does not transfer your domain registration. You will need to keep your domain current with your domain registrar.
IMPORTANT EMAIL NOTE:
- If you have domain-based email (i.e. info@mydomain.com), please send your email provider's MX records to our Support Team BEFORE you change your name servers (the next step). If you change your name servers before we have your email's MX records set up on our servers, your email will go down. Your email will be restored within 2-24 hours after your MX records have been added to our servers.
- If you don't have domain-based email and you would like it, we recommend Zibster Mailbox. Click here for more information about Mailbox.
- Go to https://access.enom.com and log into your eNom account using the domain name and password that you set up when purchasing the domain name.
- Once logged in, click on Registered under Domains.
- If you only have one domain, it will appear by default. If not, you need to select the domain you wish to modify.
- Click on DNS Server Settings.
- If not already selected, select Custom
- Click DNS Server Settings.
- Replace any existing name server information with our DNS information:
ns.rackspace.com
ns2.rackspace.com - Click Save.
Note: If you purchased your domain name through an Enom reseller, follow the instructions below:
- Login to the domain control panel (http://www.access.enom.com )
- In the controls page, please select the DNS Servers section.
- Change the nameservers to ns.rackspace.com and ns2.rackspace.com as listed above and click on Save Changes.
