How to Update the Expiration Date on a Mood Board in Zibster
Overview
Every Zibster Mood Board requires an expiration date, which controls how long clients can access it. New Mood Boards default to an expiration date 30 days after creation, but you can change that date to match your workflow. When a Mood Board expires, clients can no longer access it, but the project remains in your Zibster account. This guide explains how to change the expiration date, reopen an expired Mood Board, and understand how expiration affects client access.
STEP ONE
Log in to your Zibster account and click MOOD BOARDS in the left-side menu to open your Mood Board projects.
STEP TWO
Click the name of the Mood Board project you want to update.
If you have multiple categories or pages of projects, use the search bar to find the project by name.
STEP THREE
Click the GEAR ICON in the top-right corner of the project page to open its settings.
STEP FOUR
Locate the EXPIRATION DATE field. Click the CALENDAR ICON inside the field to select a new expiration date.
Every Mood Board must have an expiration date. Select a future date to extend access or reopen an expired Mood Board.
FINAL STEP
Click SAVE CHANGES to apply the new expiration date.
If the Mood Board was expired, clients can access it again. You do not need to recreate the projec
What Your Clients See
When the Mood Board Expires
A Mood Board expires at 12:00 AM at the beginning of the selected expiration date, using the time zone set on your Zibster account.
For example, if you want clients to access a Mood Board through June 30, select July 1 as the expiration date. Selecting June 30 closes access at the beginning of June 30.
To review or update your account’s time zone, follow How to Change Your Account Time Zone.
After expiration, visitors who open the Mood Board link see a message indicating that the project has expired.
When You Reopen the Mood Board
Changing an expired Mood Board to a future expiration date restores client access.
Changing only the expiration date preserves the existing Mood Board link and password. Changing the project name may change the link, and changing the password in the project settings changes the password clients need to enter.
Reopening a Mood Board does not automatically send clients an email. Let your clients know that it is available again and share the updated deadline.
Helpful Notes
- Allow enough time for review. Choose a deadline that gives clients time to review images, choose favorites, or provide feedback when those features are enabled.
- Expired projects remain in your account. Zibster does not automatically delete a Mood Board when it expires. You can continue managing it and reopen it later.
- Check your account’s time zone. If a Mood Board closes earlier or later than expected, review both its expiration date and your account’s time zone.
