With Zibster, you can organize your products into categories to make it easier for customers to find what they’re looking for on your website. This guide will walk you through creating product categories.
STEP ONE
Log in to your Zibster account and click on ECommerce in the left-side menu.
STEP TWO
Hover over Sell Online at the top of your ECommerce control panel and click on Products from the drop-down menu.
STEP THREE
Click on the New Category button.
STEP FOUR
Enter a name for your new category.
STEP FIVE
You can add an image to represent this category. This image will be visible at the category level if you display your products on your website. You can:
- Upload a new image,
- Select an image from your image library, or
- Use a stock image.
You can also add alt text for the category image to improve accessibility and SEO.
STEP SIX
Edit the meta data for the product category. Use the SEO & Search section to enter relevant meta information, which will help customers find your products and categories more easily on your site.
After creating the category, you can modify its name and image by clicking the edit icon next to the category name. To delete the category, click the trash can icon next to the category name.
Important Note: You must delete or move all products associated with a category before you can delete the category.
