How to Add a Search Bar and Shopping Cart Icon to Your Zibster Website
Overview
Adding a search icon and shopping cart icon to your Zibster website helps visitors quickly find content and manage items they want to purchase. The search feature allows users to locate pages, blog posts, products, and services, while the shopping cart icon provides easy access to items added from your store.
This guide walks you through how to enable and customize both icons using the Site Links / Icons settings in the Website Builder.
STEP ONE
Log into your Zibster account and click WEBSITE in the left-side menu.
This opens your Website Builder, where you can manage your pages, design, and navigation settings.
STEP TWO
In the Website Builder, locate SITE LINKS / ICONS in the left panel.
This section appears below your list of website pages and above your footer settings.
Click SITE LINKS / ICONS to open the settings panel on the right side of the screen.
STEP THREE
In the right-side panel, click the SEARCH/CART tab.
This section allows you to control whether the search icon and shopping cart icon appear on your website, where they are displayed, and how they look.
DISPLAY SEARCH SETTINGS
Enable and configure your search icon settings.
Choose where the search icon should appear on your website:
- No — Hides the search icon
- With Social Media Icons — Displays the search icon next to your social media icons
- With Site Links — Displays the search icon alongside your navigation links
If you select With Site Links, you can also choose how the search feature is displayed:
- Button — Displays a button labeled Search
- Icon Only — Displays only the magnifying glass icon
- Text and Icon — Displays the icon with the word Search
- Text Only — Displays only the word Search
Click Save Changes to apply your settings.
DISPLAY CART ICON
Display the shopping cart icon to allow your customers to easily access their saved carts. You can display the shopping cart icon alongside your social media icons or with your site links.
If you choose to display the shopping cart icon with your site links, you will need to select the type. Types include: Button, Icon only, Text and Icon, and Text only.
- Button: Display the shopping cart icon as a "view bag" button
- Icon only: Display only the cart icon
- Text and Icon: Display the shopping cart icon with the text "view cart"
- Text only: Display only the text "view cart"
Click save changes to apply your selection to your website.
