How to Change Image Protection Settings in Zibster Mood Boards
Overview
Zibster Mood Boards include Image Protection settings that help discourage visitors from saving, copying, printing, or capturing your images without permission. You can choose Standard, Medium, or High protection based on how you want clients to view your photography.
Image Protection is a global setting that applies to every existing and future Mood Board in your account. Medium protection is enabled by default, but you can change the protection level at any time.
This guide explains how to select an Image Protection level, how each option works, and how Image Protection differs from watermarks.
STEP ONE
Log in to your Zibster account and select MOOD BOARDS from the left-side menu.
This opens the Mood Boards Dashboard, where you can manage your Mood Boards, images, activity, designs, and account-wide settings.
STEP TWO
Select SETTINGS at the top of the Mood Boards Dashboard.
The options on this page apply globally to your Mood Boards account. Changes to Image Protection affect all existing and future Mood Boards.
STEP THREE
Locate the IMAGE PROTECTION section directly above WATERMARK VISIBILITY.
The Image Protection setting includes the following description:
Adds extra protection against screenshots, downloads, right-click saving, and unauthorized sharing in your galleries.
Select the protection level you want to use:
Standard
Includes Zibster's built-in safeguards against direct image access and drag-and-drop saving.
Medium
Adds measures to discourage screenshots, right-click saving, downloads, printing, and copying while keeping photos fully visible during normal viewing.
Medium is the default Image Protection level for Zibster Mood Boards.
High
Keeps part of each photo blurred at all times for the strongest screenshot deterrence.
Visitors can click or tap the blurred area to move it to the opposite side of the photo. This allows visitors to review different parts of the image, but part of the photo remains blurred at all times.
FINAL STEP
Select SAVE CHANGES to apply your selected Image Protection level.
The selected level applies to every existing and future Mood Board in your account. Preview one of your Mood Boards as a visitor to confirm that the protection level provides the viewing experience you want for your clients.
Medium and High Image Protection Examples
The examples below show how images appear when Medium and High Image Protection are enabled.
Image Protection and Watermarks
Image Protection and watermarks are separate Mood Boards features. You can use either feature by itself or use both together.
Image Protection controls how photos are displayed and adds safeguards that discourage unauthorized saving, copying, printing, downloading, screen capture, and sharing.
Watermark settings place a visible copyright symbol or custom watermark over the images displayed in your Mood Boards. Because WATERMARK VISIBILITY appears directly below IMAGE PROTECTION, you can review both settings and select the combination that works best for your photography business.
Image Protection does not add a copyright symbol, business name, or logo to your photos. Configure WATERMARK VISIBILITY separately when you want a visible watermark.
Watermarks are applied to the images visitors view. They are not added to files visitors are permitted to download.
See How to Add a Watermark to Zibster Mood Boards for complete instructions.
