How To Set Up A New Zibster Scheduler Service

How to Create Scheduler Services in Zibster

The Zibster Scheduler allows clients to book appointments with you directly through your website. You can offer both free and paid sessions and set up a variety of scheduling options — such as ongoing availability, limited-date offerings, or special event sessions.

When you create a Scheduler Service, the Service Duration determines how long each appointment lasts and how often booking time slots appear on your calendar.

For example, a 15-minute service will display appointments every 15 minutes, while a 45-minute service will show slots every 45 minutes.
Service durations can range from 15 minutes (minimum) up to 1440 minutes (24 hours maximum).

Pro Tip

If you need to offer appointments shorter than 15 minutes, use a Booking Form instead. The Form Builder includes customizable templates for short sessions such as 5-minute or 10-minute bookings.

Learn More: How To Create A Form

STEP ONE

Log into your Zibster account and click SCHEDULER from the left-hand menu.

STEP TWO

At the top of your Scheduler control panel, click SERVICES.

STEP THREE

Click NEW SERVICE to create a new service.

In the right-side menu, choose your Service Type:

  • Recurring – For services available on a consistent schedule (for example, weekly sessions or consultations).

  • Custom Dates – For services offered only on specific dates and times (for example, mini-sessions or seasonal events).

You can also organize your services by Category to help keep them grouped by type.

Important: Once you create a service, its type (Recurring or Custom Dates) cannot be changed. If you need to switch, you’ll need to create a new service with the desired type.

STEP FOUR

Configure Your New Scheduler Service.
Enter the basic information for your service:

  • SERVICE NAME: What the service is called.

  • DESCRIPTION: A short description of what clients can expect.

  • SERVICE DURATION: Set the length of your appointments. This also determines how often time slots appear on your booking calendar.

    • For example:

      • 15-minute service → 9:00, 9:15, 9:30, 9:45, etc.

      • 30-minute service → 9:00, 9:30, 10:00, etc.

  • PRICE: The cost of your service (if applicable).

  • CHARGE TAX: Enable this option if sales tax should apply.

  • ACTIVE: Choose the status for your service:

    • Yes, for booking only

    • Yes, for booking and payment

    • No

Once you’ve configured these options, click CREATE at the bottom of the panel to save your new service.

STEP FIVE

Set Up Additional Service Options.
After creating your service, you’ll see additional tabs to further customize it:

  • DETAILS: Edit your core service information (Name, Description, Price, Duration, and Tax).

  • IMAGE: Add an image to display with your service on your booking page.

  • OPTIONS: Add upsell items or optional add-ons (for example, extended time, additional guests, or themed upgrades).

  • AVAILABILITY: Limit when this service is available by setting custom hours or specific days. This overrides your main business hours.

  • INSTRUCTIONS: Add notes or questions that clients will see before booking.

  • THANK YOU: Customize the message shown after booking and set additional notification email addresses.

  • EMAIL AUTOMATION: Turn on automatic confirmation, reminder, or follow-up emails.

  • SEO & SEARCH: Add meta titles, descriptions, and keywords to help improve your service visibility in search engines and your site search.

  • TAGS: Add tags to your scheduler services to help with organization and on-site search.

When you’re finished, click SAVE CHANGES to publish your updates.

How Service Duration Affects Booking Times

Your Service Duration controls how long each appointment lasts and how often clients see available time slots on your calendar.

Here’s a quick example:

Service DurationBooking Times Shown
15 minutes 9:00, 9:15, 9:30, 9:45, etc.
30 minutes 9:00, 9:30, 10:00, 10:30, etc.
45 minutes 9:00, 9:45, 10:30, 11:15, etc.
60 minutes 9:00, 10:00, 11:00, 12:00, etc.

Appointments are generated one per duration interval, they are not staggered or overlapped.
