Afterpay allows customers to make purchases online and pay for them in four installments over six weeks without any interest charges, commonly known as buy now, pay later (BNPL). Zibster supports Afterpay on Square using the Square Merchant integration. This guide will show you how to enable Afterpay for your clients on your Zibster ECommerce platform.
BEFORE YOU BEGIN:
- You must have Square set up in your Zibster account.
- You need to activate Afterpay in your Square account.

Steps to Enable Afterpay on Zibster
STEP ONE
Log into your Zibster account and click on ECOMMERCE in the left-side menu of your Zibster control panel.
STEP TWO
Click on PAYMENT at the top of your control panel and, in the drop-down menu, select MERCHANTS.
STEP THREE
Click on your Square merchant configuration to access the settings.
STEP FOUR
Scroll down to the AFTERPAY ON SQUARE settings at the bottom of the Square settings and click on the ADD AFTERPAY option.
Once you’ve added Afterpay on Square, you'll be able to:
- Configure the Payment Name option.
- Set up a custom Thank You Message for your clients.
If Afterpay is configured properly in your Square account, your clients will see the Afterpay option at checkout. Below is an example of what the checkout screen might look like:
