How to Create a Single-Use Coupon in Zibster Ecommerce
Single-use coupons in Zibster allow you to create a discount code that can only be redeemed one time. These coupons are ideal for client-specific promotions, referral rewards, complimentary items, or tightly controlled offers. You can apply a single-use coupon to items sold through Zibster Ecommerce, including products, services, and Scheduler services. This article walks you through how to create a coupon that can only be used once and apply it to specific items, item groups, or an entire order.
Prerequisites
Before you begin, make sure:

You are logged into your Zibster account

The item(s) you want the coupon to apply to already exist in your Ecommerce price list

You know whether the coupon should apply to:

A single item
-
A group of items
-
An entire order

STEP ONE
Log into your Zibster account and click ECOMMERCE in the left-side menu.
STEP TWO
At the top of the Ecommerce control panel, hover over PAYMENTS, then click COUPONS from the dropdown menu.
STEP THREE
Click the NEW COUPON button to create a new coupon code.
STEP FOUR
Choose the type of coupon you want to create, based on how the discount should work:

Percentage Discounts (for example: % Off Single Item, % Off Total Order)

Dollar Discounts (for example: $ Off Single Item, $ Off Group of Items)

Buy One Get One (if applicable to your promotion)
Click the appropriate option, then click CONTINUE.
STEP FIVE
Set up the coupon details, this section will have different options depending on what type of coupon you are creating.

Discount Code: Enter the code your client will use at checkout

Description: Optional internal note for your reference

Begin Date / Expiration Date: Set when the coupon becomes active and when it expires

Max Number of Uses: Enter 1 to make the coupon single-use

Discount Amount: Enter the dollar or percentage amount for the discount

Min Order Price / Max Order Price: Optional limits, if needed
When finished, click CREATE COUPON or NEXT CHOOSE ITEM(S) based on your coupon type.
STEP SIX
If your coupon applies to Any Item:

Select Any Item

Click Create Coupon to finalize the coupon.
If your coupon applies to Any Item in a Specific Category:
- Choose Any Item in a Specific Category
- Choose the Item Type (Products, Service, Scheduler) from the drop down menu.
- Choose the Category from the drop down menu
- Click the add button
Click Create Coupon to finalize the coupon.
If your coupon applies to specific items:

Select Specific Items

Choose the item type (Products, Services, Scheduler)

Select the item(s) the coupon should apply to

Use ADD or REMOVE to adjust selections as needed
Save your changes to finalize the coupon.
What Clients Will Experience
Clients will enter the coupon code during checkout. Once the coupon is redeemed, it becomes invalid and cannot be used again. If the coupon applies to specific items, only those items will be discounted. Clients can still purchase additional non-discounted items at regular price within the same order.
