How to Turn Google reCAPTCHA On or Off for Zibster Forms
Overview
Google reCAPTCHA helps protect your Zibster forms from automated spam submissions. You can turn Google reCAPTCHA on or off from the Spam Protection settings in your Zibster account.
This guide explains how to enable or disable Google reCAPTCHA and test your forms after changing the setting.
Before You Begin: Google reCAPTCHA requires a Site Key and Secret Key. If you have not added these keys to your Zibster account, follow How to Get Your Google reCAPTCHA Keys before enabling Google reCAPTCHA.
STEP ONE
Log in to your Zibster account and click MY ACCOUNT in the left-side menu.
STEP TWO
Hover over SETTINGS at the top of the My Account section, then click SPAM PROTECTION from the dropdown menu.
FINAL STEP
Locate Turn on Google reCAPTCHA and select the setting you want to use:
- Select YES to enable Google reCAPTCHA.
- Select NO to disable Google reCAPTCHA.
Scroll down and click SAVE CHANGES to apply your selection.
The updated Google reCAPTCHA setting will apply to your Zibster forms.
Test Your Forms
After changing this setting, open a published page containing a Zibster form and complete a test submission. Confirm that the form submits successfully and that the submission appears in your Zibster account.
Should I Keep Google reCAPTCHA Enabled?
We recommend keeping Google reCAPTCHA enabled to help protect your forms from automated spam. Google reCAPTCHA can reduce spam submissions, but it may not prevent every unwanted submission.
You may temporarily disable Google reCAPTCHA while troubleshooting or testing a form. Remember to enable it again after completing your test.
