When a gift card is purchased through your Zibster website, the system automatically sends a series of email notifications related to the order. These emails are sent to you as the site owner, the purchaser, and the gift card recipient. Each email serves a specific purpose and includes important details about the transaction.
Understanding how these emails work helps you track gift card orders, confirm purchase details, and set clear expectations for your clients. This article explains each email sent during a Zibster gift card purchase and what information it contains.
Order Notification Email (What You See)
You will receive an order notification email whenever a purchase is completed through your Zibster ECommerce system, including gift card purchases.
This email includes a View Receipt button.
Clicking View Receipt opens the order details page in your Zibster dashboard, where you can review:

The gift card amount purchased

The gift card code associated with the order
This allows you to reference or verify gift card information at any time directly from your account.
Order Receipt Confirmation Email (What the Purchaser Sees)
The client who purchases the gift card receives an order receipt confirmation email after checkout is completed.
This email serves as their proof of purchase and typically includes:

Total amount paid

A confirmation or thank-you message
This email confirms that the gift card purchase was successfully processed.
Automated Gift Card Email (What the Recipient Sees)
After payment for the gift card has been successfully processed, Zibster automatically sends an email to the gift card recipient.
This email is sent to the email address entered in the Gift Cards Block during checkout.
The automated gift card email includes:

No manual action is required. This email is sent automatically as part of the Zibster gift card purchase workflow and delivers the gift card directly to the recipient.

Gift card emails are fully automated and cannot be manually resent from the dashboard.
