An ALT tag (or alt description) is descriptive text of an image on a web page. The main function of alt tags is to help with accessibility to your website. For visitors to a website that are visually impaired and using a screen reader, alt tags will describing what an image is to the visitor to your blog post. Another function of alt tags is that they help search engine crawlers understand what an image is in your website is. This guide will walk you through the steps of using alt tags with images in your Zibster website.
TEXT + IMAGE BLOCK
Add ALT text to your Text + Image block image
When you upload an image to your Text + Image block, you'll find an ALT TEXT section directly below the image. You can easily include your alt text there and have it included as an alt tag on your image you use here.

STEP ONE
Obtain an image link and insert the image into your text editor
You'll need to do is get a direct link to the image you'd like to insert. You can use your PhotoBiz account FILES section to retrieve a link by following the steps here.
When you have your image link ready, return to your EDITOR block and in the text editor, click on the INSERT/EDIT IMAGE button at the top of the box.
STEP TWO
Enter the image URL and ALT text
After you click on INSERT/EDIT IMAGE, a lightbox window will appear. Paste the image link in the IMAGE URL field, then enter your desired ALT text in the field labeled ALT TEXT.
When your URL and text have been added, click on OK.
STEP THREE
Continue adding images and Alt tags
After you click on OK, you will see the image you inserted appear.
From here, continue to add additional text boxes with an image and alt text as needed.
