Can I Change The Domain on My Account?

Changing Your Domain Name with Zibster

Need to update the domain name connected to your Zibster website? No problem! Our team can help you make the switch. This guide will show you how to submit your domain change request—and what steps to take after the update.

 
 

STEP ONE

Log into your Zibster account and click the black-and-white question mark icon (Zibster Assistant) in the bottom-right corner of your control panel.

STEP TWO

Scroll down and click Create a Support Ticket. Use the following selections when filling out your request:

  • Product/Section: Account
  • Subject: Domain & Email
  • Description: Let us know what you’d like your new domain name to be.

Click Send to submit your request!

You'll have a confirmation message that your ticket has been submitted successfully.

💡 Important Note

  • The domain name must already be registered—either through Zibster or a third-party provider.
  • If your domain is registered with a third party, our domain specialists will send you updated DNS (Domain Name Server) settings to apply with your registrar.

✅ What to Do After Your Domain Is Updated

Changing your domain is exciting—but there are a few things you’ll want to follow up on:

🛠 Reconnect Google reCAPTCHA

Make sure your forms continue working properly by reconnecting Google reCAPTCHA to your new domain.

🔍 Update Google Services

To keep your SEO and tracking tools accurate, update the following:

  • Add and verify your new domain in Google Search Console
  • Update your website URL in Google Analytics
  • Re-submit your sitemap in Search Console under the new domain

🌐 Update External Links

Check places where your domain is listed, such as:

  • Blogs or business directories
  • Social media bios
  • Email signatures
  • Business cards and printed materials

📧 Update Email Settings

If you're using a custom email address (like info@yourdomain.com), you may need to:

  • Set up a new mailbox for your new domain
  • Or update your existing email settings

📣 Announce the Change

Let your audience know about your new domain! A quick message goes a long way:

“We’ve updated our website address! You can now find us at [yournewdomain.com]. Come take a look!”

🔗 Check Internal Links

⚙️ Review Third-Party Tools
