How to Check Your Domain Name Servers
Your domain’s name servers determine where your DNS (Domain Name System) is being managed. This guide will help you look up your current name servers and understand what they mean for your Zibster website.
STEP ONE
Go to ICANN's lookup tool: https://lookup.icann.org/en/lookup and enter your domain name.
STEP TWO
In the results, look for the section labeled NAME SERVERS. You will see a list of server addresses. These addresses control the DNS for your domain.
STEP THREE
Compare your results to the following:
-
If your name servers show:
Your domain is still using our legacy Rackspace servers. To upgrade, log into your Zibster account, click DOMAINS in the left-side panel, and update your DNS settings to our latest AWS servers. You’ll be given 4 unique name servers to update where your domain is registered.

-
If your name servers show 4 AWSDNS servers
Your domain is already using our latest DNS platform, Amazon Route 53. No further action is needed. -
If your name servers show other values
Your DNS is being managed through a third-party service (not Zibster). Any DNS updates or changes will need to be made through the provider your name servers point to.
