Connecting Your Existing Domain Name to Your Zibster Website
When you’re ready to go live with your new Zibster website, you can use a domain name you already own. This guide will walk you through how to submit a request to connect your domain to your Zibster account.
STEP ONE
Log into your Zibster account and click DOMAINS in the left-side menu.
STEP TWO
Under the section titled USE YOUR EXISTING DOMAIN, click the green Request a Domain Setup button.
This will start the process to connect your domain that’s registered with a third-party provider (like GoDaddy, Name Cheap, etc.).
STEP THREE
Enter your domain name and let us know if you currently use email addresses with your domain (like name@yourdomain.com). Then click the Continue button.
IMPORTANT – If You Use Email with Your Domain:
When we set up your domain, any existing email accounts connected to it may be temporarily unavailable during the 12–24 hour propagation period. Once propagation is complete, your email will work as normal.
-
If you selected YES (you do use domain-based email):
Please send your current email provider’s MX records to our Support Team before updating your domain’s name servers.
If you update the name servers before we’ve added the MX records, your email may temporarily go down. It will be restored once the records are in place. -
If you selected NO (you don’t use email yet):
Interested in a custom email address (like yourname@yourdomain.com)?
You can find details in the Premium Upgrades section of your Zibster control panel.

STEP FOUR
Confirmation Message
Once your request is submitted, you’ll see a confirmation message. Our team will begin the process of setting up your domain on your Zibster account.
When setup is complete, one of our web consultants will send you the name server information you’ll need to update in your domain registrar account.
