Zibster integrates with Google Search Console, which is the best way to submit your website to Google for indexing. This is also the best tool to use to verify your page index status with Google as well. This guide will walk you through the steps of setting up Google Search Console and verifying your Zibster site with it.
STEP ONE
Log into your account with Google Search Console (https://search.google.com/search-console) and enter your domain name under the URL Prefix option.
Be sure to enter the full https://www. version of your domain and click Continue.
STEP TWO
Choose HTML TAG under the OTHER VERIFICATION METHODS.
Click on the COPY button to copy the HTML meta tag that Google Search Console will use to verify your website.
After that, you will be prompted to verify your ownership of the domain. Search Console will provide you with a TXT record that you will need to be added to your domain's DNS (which is done wherever your name servers are pointed). Click COPY next to the TXT record provided to copy the record.
STEP THREE
Open another browser tab/window and log into your Zibster account then go to your Website builder. Click on TRACKING at the top of your Zibster control panel.
You're going to paste the HTML TAG that you copied from Google Search Console into the head section and click SAVE CHANGES.
STEP FOUR
Go back to your Google Search Console tab and click on the VERIFY button.
You'll get a confirmation message that our site is now verified with Google Search Console.
STEP FIVE (OPTIONAL)
Click on GO TO PROPERTY to submit your sitemap and if you're blogging, RSS feed directly to Google.
- You can add sitemap.xml to submit your website sitemap to Google Search Console.
- If you're blogging, you can also add blog-rss as a 2nd site map so your blog posts are submitted via Google Search Console as well.
