How to Submit Your Sitemap to Google Search Console
Submitting your sitemap to Google Search Console is a great way to help Google understand your website's structure and stay updated with your latest changes. The good news? If you're using the Zibster Website Package, your sitemap (sitemap.xml
) is automatically generated and kept up-to-date for you!
By adding your sitemap to Google Search Console, you can also track when Google last visited your site and which pages have been indexed.
This guide will show you how to submit your Zibster sitemap to Google step-by-step.

Once your sitemap is submitted, Google will check it regularly for updates. The frequency of these checks is determined by Google.STEP ONE
Log In to Google Search Console and Verify Your Domain
If you haven’t already, visit Google Search Console and sign in with your Google account.
- Select "Add Property" and choose "URL Prefix".
- Enter your website URL (for example:
https://www.yourdomain.com
) and follow the steps to verify ownership.

STEP TWO
Go to the Sitemaps Section
Once your domain is verified:
- In the left-hand menu, click on "Sitemaps".
STEP THREE
Submit Your Sitemap
- In the "Add a new sitemap" field, type:
sitemap.xml - Click the SUBMIT button.
Once submitted, you’ll see a confirmation message. Google will now begin checking your sitemap and indexing your pages.
In the Sitemaps section, you’ll be able to view:
- When your sitemap was submitted
- The last time Google crawled your site
- Which pages (including blog posts) have been discovered
