How do I set up shipping options on my Ecommerce?

With Zibster ECommerce, if you're selling anything that needs to be shipped or picked up, you'll want to create shipping methods in your control panel. These can include options like free in-store pickup, flat rate shipping, or percentage-based shipping using your preferred carrier.

The shipping methods you create will automatically appear for your customers during the checkout process and calculate the totals based on what you’ve set in your account.

This guide will walk you through the steps to add a shipping method in your Zibster ECommerce.

STEP ONE

Log In

Log into your Zibster account and click on the ECOMMERCE tab in the left-side menu.

This opens the ECommerce control panel for your account.

STEP TWO

Go to Shipping Settings

At the top of the screen, click on the PAYMENT tab, then select SHIPPING from the drop-down menu.

STEP THREE

Add a New Shipping Method

Click the NEW SHIPPING METHOD button.

STEP FOUR

Set Up Your Shipping Option

Here’s what you’ll be able to customize:

  • Name:
    Enter the name of your shipping method (e.g., USPS, Free Pickup in Store). This name will be visible to your customer at checkout.
  • Description (Optional):
    Use this field to give customers more info—such as delivery timeframes or special instructions for pickup.
  • Price:
    You have two pricing options:
    • Flat Rate: Set a fixed dollar amount that all customers will pay.
    • Percentage: Charge a percentage of the order total, with the option to set a minimum amount.
  • Additional Shipping Charges:
    You can add extra shipping fees per product in the individual product setup. In the shipping method settings, you’ll be asked whether to include or exclude these additional charges.
  • Multiple Methods:
    You can offer more than one shipping method to give customers a choice (e.g., shipping vs. in-store pickup).

OPTION: Add Free Pickup in Store

To offer a free pickup option:

  • Name: Free Pickup In Store
  • Description: Pick up your order at our store at no charge. We’ll contact you when it’s ready!
  • Price: Flat rate — enter $0
  • Exclude additional shipping charges: Choose Yes if you want to make sure this option doesn’t include any extra per-product shipping fees.

This option will now show up at checkout for your customers to select as a free, local pickup option.
