At Zibster, we prioritize your security. To help protect your forms and blog comments from fraudulent content, we've recently updated our global list of blocked spam terms.
Each Zibster account has a customizable restricted word list that helps prevent spam submissions. You can review and adjust this list in your control panel's SPAM PROTECTION settings.
For example, if you've blocked the word "Casino" (a common spam topic), and someone tries to submit a form containing the phrase "Casino themed event," the submission will be blocked due to the restricted term.
For additional guidance on blocking spammers individually, check out this article on blocking spammers.
STEP ONE
Log into your Zibster account and click on MY ACCOUNT in the left side menu.
STEP TWO
Hover over the SETTINGS option at the top of the My Account control panel, and select SPAM PROTECTION from the dropdown menu.
STEP THREE
Scroll down past the Google reCAPTCHA section to find your Spam Policy settings. Here, you can configure the following options:
đźš« Blacklisted Domains & Email Addresses
Block specific email addresses or entire domains from submitting your forms.
⚠️ Important Note: Be cautious when blocking domains—anyone using an email from that domain will be unable to submit your forms. Blocking a major email provider like gmail.com or yahoo.com could significantly impact your ability to generate leads.
đźš« Blacklisted IPs
Block specific IP addresses from submitting your forms.
🔡 Restricted Words
Prevent form submissions that contain certain words. Any word added to this list will be checked against both form fields and any text entered into your forms.
